DavidS you make a very significant point, it should be noted and acted upon! Looking at the new jerseys I think that their cut is of a rather strange shape, has anyone else noticed this. When they are worn, will there be extra cloth on the sides, under the armpits that will flap?
welcome to the real world! everyone wants credit for someone else's achievments! plus, its the media! what do you expect?! they are screwed in their brains!
Nice work Tim and crew. I like the simplicity of the uniforms. As a long long time Houston Rocket fan, the red and gold will always be my favorite, but these blow away those pajamas we have had the last several years. Those things were just plain UGLY Now if we can just get this team in the playoffs.
they were the ebay ones, it was almost like they got them from this site they said that this jerseys were found on a internet site, i might not have gotten what he exactly said my NO/FX Cd was on pretty loud
These jerseys definitely make up for the logo design which i think is ok. It will be nice to see this team look good again. BTW, please never bring back the pin stripes as a retro look.......please.
I think the sides of the uniform are folded. It makes the shoulder cut look to wide. I hope they would show it without the side folded
Anyone know where to get the new uniforms beside online when they come to the public? i.e any stores.
It's been this way for a long time. Quite frustrating actually. Neither the Rockets organization nor the Houston Chronicle will mention publically ClutchCity.net in any way, despite getting tremendous benefit from it. In fact, in the past I've found both have gone out of their way to squash mentions of it. The Rockets killed a Fox Sports feature story about ClutchCity.net that was to air at halftime of a game. The Chronicle has pulled mentions of the site on numerous occasions... a columnist or writer will make mention of it in a story when first released online, but it will get changed in the next hour. To Feigen's credit, he did mention the ClutchCity.net board once in a story (about the Yao craze making the board become registered users only) and it made it to print. Oh, and a tip to the Chronicle: If they'd like to look a little less obvious, maybe they shouldn't have used the photo from ClutchCity.net that I merged/airbrushed myself (laying the home on top of the road) at the top of their breaking story. Uh... HELLO!
Why do you think this would be? ccnet would seem to be their #1 access point for Rocket involvement. Official sites, by their very nature, are usually formulaic and dull. Why not at least encourage a vibrant community which can only benefit the Rockets? Of any site I've ever visted regularly, this is the best. The Rockets are not my favorite team (in all sports, of course they are in basketball)... but this is the site I most frequent. The Rockets (and any media outlet that backs them) are foolish if they do anything less than promote this site when appropriate.
Agreed Clutch! You brown-nosers in the Chronicle and Rockets' organization need to give credit where credit's due. Most true Rockets fans know about the site anyways, but there's no harm in getting the name out there just in case. In the least, it will give props to Clutch for running this place.
That's a pretty lame reason if you ask me. There are other teams that DO use their city name on the jersey as well. Maybe you would hear a "peep" if they decided to take New York off of the Knicks jersey for one. Are you saying putting "Houston" on the jersey would keep them from being "well-respected"? That does sound like a slap to the fans of Houston. "Houston" was on the championship jersey. Were those not "well-respected"? That changed when your boss decided to tinker with something he obviously didn't have good taste in. I don't blame you for that because you were not around at the time. And I don't personally blame you for this mistake. I know it goes much higher up. But if the reasoning is that Houston jerseys wouldn't sell as well in China just say so.
If you are talking about Ch 2 and Steve Marks, that was not the same photo. I saw it and the jerseys were side by side and layered like what Clutch did.
