LMFAO. C'mon it's only a couple days till tip off. Either people are just antsy for the season to start already or Houston fans just love to have something to complain about.
I always liked playing with the wider shoulder jerseys. They don't get in the way of motion or interfere with playing the game at all. They're starting to become a lot more in vogue too as far as the high school/AAU teams go.
all of these negative threads are making me think the rockets wont do well...ah the BBS...what an influence
the wider shoulder width is to allow for the players to float in the air longer, same goes for the long shorts. that's why none of the players wear the short shorts anymore - messes with their ups. ......
A lot of my friends actually like the wide cut. They think it is better to wear, than the short cut b/c it looks like a cut off more than a jersey. Either way, I like the jerseys. Can't touch the Championship Years, but they are still cool jerseys!
I don't like that shiny material we are using , I would have prefered they use the same material the Lakers for example are using.
I know that I can't play basketball any other way than bare chested. Everything else just gets in the way. Don't even try to get me to play in a t-shirt. With all that fabric on my skin, I can't even get arm past horizontal. How am I supposed to take a shoot like that?
Brooks I understand what you are talking about. When they came out with the jerseys, I always thought they fit like WNBA jerseys. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT, JUST AN OBSERVATION.
I don't know why some of you are jumping on the threadstarter, its an interesting observation proven somewhat by the photos of duncan and kobe.
For a fan who wears the jersey, I like the wide shoulders. To me, the Spurs style looks more like a practice jersey.
Brooksball, have you ever played in a jersey like this? I can't speak for the Rocket's jersey itself, but I've played in both cuts, and I honestly like the wider cut better. It doesn't get in the way of shooting--it's not like a t. Just my opinion, though.
For the record, I like the current jerseys. They appear sharp and elegant. As for the fit, I find them perfectly comfortable, and they tend to look good on people of any frame and build. That being said, my impression from watching Steve Francis at the free throw line during the last season of his first tenure here is that he disliked the wide-cut shoulders. Literally every time he walked up to the free throw line he'd tug or roll back the shoulders away from his arms.
