duncan is kind of past his prime in terms of offense.

but right now, duncan would go down as the best PF in the game.

yao's entering his superstar years (this has been his first yr). so yao still has ways to go.

Yao definitely still have ways to go. But I just hope he can stay healthy, and hopefully his work ethic doesn't change. I hope he didn't fake/over-exaggerate his recent injury to take a game off. That would piss me off...

my god, any injury to the back is serious. i don't care if he over-exaggerates. the back is crucial - look at tmac.

Would Duncan have moved to center if David Robinson was not there?

I've always thought he was out of place at power forward.

I have always felt that Duncan is a much more effective PF than C. I think he only plays a lot of C now because of all the rule changes and everyone playing small quick line-ups. He really doesn't have the strength and bulk to dominate the C position as much as does the PF position if everyone today plays their true postions like they did a handful of years ago. Not entirely sure, but I think I've heard a few years ago, that Duncan was complaining about not wanting to play the C fulltime because he didn't like to have to bang with the bruisers all game long.

he's 7ft. and plus outside of yao and shaq, there is really no true center so really it doesn't matter.

Why did this thread turn into a Duncan vs. Yao debate?

Screw Jazzholes. This is how every Rockets fan will react while watching them collapse in playoffs.

Agreed- Duncan presents matchup problems at the 4. He dominates at 7' and there is almost nothing his versatile game cannot accomplish. Duncan is the ultimate team player- IMHO a 7' superstar with Shane Battier like glue - chemistry.

He has been one of my favorie players for years-breaks my heart he plays for San Antonio-if only Boston had won that lottery!!!!

Duncan is high character-high integrity. I have complained about his crying to the Referees for foul calls - but he still remains a class act.

I also recall he never wanted to play the 5-SA having Robinson facilitated this.
