Excellent trade. He will be a very good sixth man for this team and if he'll improve his outside shot - he will start at SF next season. He is a guy that can develop into Iguodala type of player without huge contract
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4616/gamelog;_ylt=AjvpgLw1NaIP0gFo44CK1nekvLYF?year=2009 Look at the last 2 months larsv, he was playing REALLY good. He's a tremendous passer and has the potential to get 6 rebounds, 5+ assits, and 15+ ppg.
Anyways, I'm not worried about his attitude because I'm 100% sure that Morey talked to Courtney Lee about him before he pulled the trigger on the trade. Because Lee played with Williams in NJ, he should tell Morey first-hand is Williams would fit well on this team or not. I'm confident this is a good trade.
A gamble depends on the value of our pick. Great potential, but character and bball IQ is a big question.
Playing "really well" doesnt mean much to me. I am more concerned with his skill set and how they envision he fits.
This guy seems rather short to play small forward. We certainly don't need him as a shooting guard, unless we are planning to move Martin or Lee.
the more important question is... where does the roster spot for him come from? does ish get waived? That would make me unhappy.
NJ get 2 1st rounders for Williams wow! They easily win this trade unless T-Will can develop into a smarter player but thats no certain thing. If the Rockets don't improve next season, this trade could look very bad if the pick they gave up turns out to be a high draft pick.
Terrence Williams in a pre-draft interview "I try to look after and copy LeBron James. As far as passing the ball, defense and thinking team first concepts. And on defense I’d like to be like Shane Battier because he challenges every shot and doesn’t back down from anybody." I like him already!
