Ok so we still have a pick to trade for Randolph or in another multiplayer trade. Pitting one team against another? This is getting better by the minute.
I'm surprised there aren't other teams out there with 1st round picks they'd be willing to give up for Randolph. The potential seems worth it...
Hell no!!! Terence is a pretty good scorer but this is a dumb kid who only cares about his points. Doesn't fit this team with his attidue at all. Remember, we have Chase who is comming back alive and Lee. I'd take Lee over Williams any day. BRING SOME BIG GUYS DM!
Then this trade increases the value of our 2011 pick, and the Knick's 2012 pick, which we still own. If NY can't get Carmelo, and it's looking grim, they win fewer games. That means the value of our remaining picks just went up. @@@@block!
The only thing that I can conclude from watching his highlights is that: 1- Dude has great hands (aka MJ hands) 2- Is a high flyer Don't know where he is going to get his minutes unless we make another trade. Bench: Lowry Lee Bud/T-Will Hill Miller Either Bud or Lee are on their way out. My guess is Bud, but if its not for an upgrade in the starting lineup I believe packaging him is r****ded.
Works for me. Or, just to start trading some of our excess talent for 1st-round picks, and maybe actually make the picks. I'm not saying he wouldn't eventually get some All-Stars, but they are using up too many roster spots. They should have ended up with a decent 2nd-round pick for JT.
Considering the Kings aren't that great, I would think the 2nd round pick for JT is pretty decent....
The Knicks will probably finish with a better record than us this year. ANd if the T-Will deal is completed as expected we won't own the 2012 pick. So it helps us nothing or almost nothing.
We don't know the conditions of the pick. It could be pretty low. It all depends on how much they value Taylor.
I know nothing about T. Williams's game, but watching the dunk highlight mix, his athleticism is unquestionable. At 6' 6.25", he seems a bit undersized, and I wonder if his jump shot's any good. I like that he mentions Battier as his model for defense, but then again, Budinger said the same thing when he joined the Rockets.
I would like a bigger trade but it's a good trade. Good minor trade. Good trade without questions since Taylor is unable to earn PT in Houston. Some say TWill is a draft bust but so what. It's a D-league for D-league trade. Low risk anyway.
Hmm. So JT for TW. Based on pure opportunity to contribute, it was a smart move. TW is more versatile and almost universally regarded as more talented. For JT it really has to suck knowing that, technically, you got traded for nothing. Sacto's 2nd rounder, only if they finish with a top 5 record, lol. At some point, isn't the NBA going to start wondering about these deals with Sacto we keep making? I mean, Rick has friends there, but we're basically giving them a player for free here. That can't sit well with the league office, can it?
I'm still frazzled with these details, so we sent Taylor to Sacramento for a 2nd round pick, thne in an unrelated trade: Houston gives: 2012 first round pick Houston gets: Terrence Williams Nets give: Terrence Williams, Joe Smith, Nets receive: 2012 houston pick, 2011 lakers 1st rd pick,Vujacic Lakers giveick, Vujacic Lakers receive: Jie Smith
Okay we need to make room for T-Will. Our options are cut Taylor and absorb his salary or trade him for nothing and let someone else absorb it. I pick the latter. Morey did too.
I'm thinking the next trade would be Budinger and one of our starters most likely either AB, Martin or Battier with be traded.
