At #3, the Rockets should be "interested" in every player in the consensus Top 7 of this draft. You can't give Orlando or OKC any peace of mind in knowing that if they trade down, their guy is still going to be there when they pick. Stoney playing the game!

Literally the worst team in the league.

Literally the best, deepest young core in the league about to add a top 3 pick.

With a whole lot more first rounders coming the next few years.

    Your analysis is paper thin

No thank you. Phoenix tried this awhile back and that did not go well. KPJ would have to go.

When did that ever win a title? Seriously asking. Chris Paul keeps getting sent home. John Stockton never won a title. Gary Payton never won the chip. When has a skilled/high IQ backcourt gotten it done?

I can only think of Walt Frazier and Earl the Pearl, but Earl Monroe was explosive as hell. Frazier not so much, but he was still known to be very flashy. So much so that they called it the "Rolls Royce Backcourt" But yeah, that was in 1973. 3 years before I was even born and I'm old.

Do you watch basketball? There’s a team in the NBA Finals right now with an average age of 26 amongst their top 7.

If okc is interested in Ivey that all but guarantees that he will be the best player in the draft

I'd consider players around age 26 as entering their prime. Our core has an average age of 20 at the moment. Certainly we don't have the best young team, but our young crop is very talented and deep, better than OKC, ORL, DET, SAC, POR, SAS, or anyone drafting near the top this year.

Memphis is very good and very young too, they're way ahead of us

Magic had a higher basketball IQ than most teams, not just backcourts. Parker and Manu were up there in IQ, the most athletic guy Jordan had in the backcourt was a broken Ron Harper, not many think Steph and the other Warrior guards are amazingly athletic, Kyle Lowry is not that athletic but he's smart, and the Bucks have solid but not spectacular athletes in their backcourt.

    I think it's a guessing game on OKC's part.

Isiah and Joe Dumars? Neither would be considered explosive but both were high IQ and highly skilled. Of course Thomas as a GM was about as low IQ as you could get.

Curry is a below the rim guy and Klay doesn’t flash elite hops either. But their skills and shooting are unparalleled.

Balance is key. Get the quality big.

There are “quality bigs” to be had at 17.

Not doing your due diligence is how things get messy

There might be a role player at 17. There might be a bench guy at 17. And there is a lot of junk. But there is not a quality big that balances Green. We have to balance Green with a Big.

Orlando could offer Chet to OKC for Jabari and the 12th pick. That would give them a chance to select Mark Williams. We have some leverage in theory with the Kings.

The big has to be a quality asset. I don't think Kessler is that good. I would rather take a swing at Dieng at 17, or Beauchamp to be honest.
