Woj: Kupchak reached out on Mozgov at 12:01 AM, league sources tell @TheVertical. Centers could move on the market quickly.
He was really good last year. And maybe stock has fallen enough to get a good deal? He's still pretty young yeah? Centers are a pretty safe investment as far as money goes... usually (bynum lol). they hold their value because SOMEONE needs a center. i mean, how much money did thabeet make over his career?
Woj reports 4 years $65M offer by the Lakers on Mozgov. Jesus, we might as well offer Dwight a 5 year max. He'd be a bargain compared to those other stiffs.
Even in this climate of grotesque overspending, the Lakers are really going to hate themselves for making that offer.
no he wasn't good last year thats why Cleveland didn't let him touch the floor at the end of the season or in playoffs.
What are we goingto do with the center position? Already two cs off the market. If we miss on horford then what?
Totally agree. I am surprised that Cavs still want him and rven more surprised that so many clutchfans like him.

Horrible..... absolutely awful. I legitimately though the cap raise would land him a 10 mill 2 or 3 year deal. How in the hell do they come up with 16 mill for 4 years for a man at his age? Seriously under no cap does that raise make sense. 15% of the 2016-17 salary cap, next years huge cap raise, for a 31 year old mediocre backup big.
i thought he could get $10-12M. but 16M, wow. you have to really be hoping that he recovers more from his knee injury that held him back last year because the year before he was a really good center who protected the rim, actually had good hands to catch passes on the move, could finish, and had a jumper. last year he almost couldn't do any of that.
Mozgov last season: 17.4 mpg, 6.3 pts, 4.4 reb Contract (reported): $65M/4yrs Valanciunas: 26.0 mpg, 12.8 pts, 9.1 reb Contract: $64M/4yrs Jul 1, 2016, 12:08 AM
In their defense, the Lakers did have the farthest to go to get to the salary floor. But they are the Lakers, you would think someone a little more significant would have showed interest. How the mighty have fallen.
