If Stuckey somehow can convince some suckers like the Kings to give him a 3-4 year deal or 4-5 mils per, then all the powers to him, that's a great gamble he took last year that pays off. If not and he is interested to come to the Rox, and assuming we are going to get Llull and retain Bev, I can only see him as a min vet who will be coming to the camp and fight for a spot. But hey, if he is really playing well in the camp, say like Casspi couple years ago? I will not be surprised to see him being in the rotation and then Morey just dump Johnson to the 76ers like we dumped Canaan last year. We are talking about probably the 12th-15th men in the rotation anyway.
Because if he plays in the garden and he does as well as this season he will get a new contract for more. If he gets cut and doesnt play he wont. Anyway as far i understand from the grantland article he wont even sign for a vet min anymore after the year he had. If he wont sign for the vet min then we cant sign him if llull an comes over. Even if he doesnt i would hope there would be better uses for the mle.
If the Rockets don't have to dip down in the MLE, and get him for the vet's minimum I am ok with it. Bev should be retained too, for 4M X 3 yrs.
Here we go! Bottom of the barrel shopping again. Which can only mean that we are going to end up having the same PG squad. Should have drafted one.
I admire Rodney's courage and toughness. He has gone through big injuries, and still can score. He can pass a bit too, and give you some defense. On February 22, 2015, he scored 30 points and had 5 assists against Golden State. He is 29 years old.
Yeah, that article looks almost like it was written by his agent. It's a pro-Stuckey as you can possibly get.
At the right price, this is the perfect PG to acquire if we keep Bev. Dude can create on offense, and he can shoot off the ball if Harden is the point. Has had so many good games last year. I hope we don't overpay, keep the core intact, and sign Stuckey to a decent price.
This would definitely end up being one of those underrated moves that ends us paying off big. I mean don't get me wrong, he's not an amazing talent or anything like that, but he can create and attack the basket well. This team desperately needs another plAyer like that.
Some players tend to elevate their game when coming to a contender. He's probably hoping to have a chance to do something great.
Someone posted it earlier, CJ Watson thanks. Low turnover rate throughout his career, high 30% in 3 point shooting, veteran, playoff experience.
