Trevor Ariza would be excellent. A long above average perimiter defender and we all know how big of a 3pt threat he is. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe he hit like 10 3's in a game last year. I don't see Ariza wanting to come to Houston unless he guaranteed a starring position.
Ideal scenario.... Sign Pau using full MLE Sign and trade for Ariza using Asik traded exception and draft pick Sign and trade for Love using Parsons / DMo / draft pick Sign and trade for KLowry using Lin / TJones / Draft Pick D12 / Pau / DMo KLove / Pau / DMo Ariza / Covington Harden / TDaniels / Johnson Lowry / PBev / Canaan We could go to war with that group. Of course it's all pie in the sky. It'll never happen.
No drugs needed. As I said it'll never happen, bit there's nothing wrong with dreaming. By the way, all of that works under the rules of the CBA. and is it really any more far fetched than coming up with this scenario: - trade Budinger for a 1st round pick (that plus Rockets 14th pick turned into Lamb) - trade Jordan Hill for a 1st round Pick - trade Lowry for a lottery pick ****trade what was essentially Budinger, Hill and Lowry for James Harden. - amnesty Scola for cap space - sign Asik as an RFA from the Bulls - sign Linsanity as an RFA away from the Knicks - follow that up with signing Dwight Howard as a free agent after he declared jus a year earlier that he did not want to play in Houston.
Bring on the Ostrich.....if Love falls through. That said, I think he's in the bag (along with Kyle)...contingencies.
I knew it was vs us just is couldn't remember how many 3's it was he hit..Rockets were running out the gym until he was on a 3pt barrage late in the 3rd. Thank God for Hardens elite level flopping...that would've been a terrible lost.
