Seriously. Tate, Nix, TyTy, Garuba... Even KMJ you can give up for a rental but Sengun? Come on. That's crazy.

That’s the only way the Rockets should be involved in my opinion and only if Scoot is available. So couldn’t happen until draft night. Think it would be difficult for Portland to pull off because of salary matching.

Maybe even Tari... that would be a last resort and you'd need a lot of confidence that the guy will sign an extension. I doubt Tari ever becomes as good as Siakam, or probably even Anunoby.

Definitely not any of our young guys who have strong potential to become better than Siakam. Which means Green, Smith, Sengun are off-limits. The #4 pick should be off-limits for similar reasons.

No way. Too old. We ARE NOT building a Superfriends team here. Take the ransom for Thompson and move back a spot or two and take Walker. He'll be at least as good as Siakam.

I don’t see a path for Portland to get Siakim unless they include both Simons and Nurkic going out.

He's like 6'7.5" in shoes. Similar height to guys like Paul Millsap or Chuck Hayes

Hell no to Ayton. Phoenix has to give away assets just to get rid of his horrendous salary.

Not only he's shorter than 6'6" without shoes. His standing reach is only an inch taller than Amen. That's bad for PF/C.

I don't mind if I can attach clutter with him and clear the roster.

    Add shooters and rim protection.

Out with non shooters Sengun, Tate, Kenyon....
In with Harden, Siakim, Cam Johnson, and more.

If we want to do that we don't need to give up a promising player like Sengun to do it. All that "clutter" is a bunch of first rounders on rookie contracts that are easy to find takers for either in trade, or just waive them and somebody will probably take a flyer. We have plenty of cap space to add shooters, backup bigs, etc.

We are in win now mode.

Shooters open things up for everyone.

    With shooters:
    Harden shines
    KPj shines
    Jalen Green shines
    Siakim shines
    Jabari shines
    Cam Johnson shines
    Tari shines

All the others brought in..... shine.

We don't have room for a 30 man roster

Why are you assuming we're getting Harden, Siakam, Cam Johnson? Those are some pretty big "ifs" my dude, even Harden.

    6'6.5 barefoot
    7'2.5 wingspan
    8'8.5 standing reach
    38" vertical

AND scored better than any other big and many guards in the agility tests at the combine. Quicker than many guards running the court. With a better vert than almost all of them. C'mon.

I think that speaks for itself, but I'll go on. Has a year under a great defensive minded coach in Sampson. He's got experience in big games at the highest college level starting on the #1 team in the country. He's a smart, team player with playmaking skills, plenty of offensive awareness, hustles on both ends and already is a force physically. To be that big yet that agile AND already have a good overall game is huge.

If you listen to interviews it's obvious he's got a great head on his shoulders. He seems like a perfect fit for Udoka. Would definitely take him over sending out assets for a dude that might be a one year rental.

Pascal is in the same boat for me as Brown, wait until he becomes a free agent and pitch your competitive offer if you truly want to add him

One drafted 47th and the other not drafted at all!

I realize they played above their draft position, and Hayes’ grit makes him a Rockets legend, but you wouldn’t spend a lottery pick on him.

Yeah it's really hard to gauge. I think he's one mentally and motivationally stable season away from erasing a lot of doubt, rightly or wrongly. We've done the hard part which is to be patient with him during a mini relapse (leaving the game after arguing with Wood/Lucas) and there's not a lot left in his recovery if he keeps improving. There could be a coach out there (or even Udoka) who believes we're on the cusp of a Rasheed Wallace type transformation where he's still going to be a hot head but you can live with it as long as he always has fire on the court.

I also think that the Raptors in particular would prefer KPJ over Dinwiddie. He's younger and more likely to gain value as an asset plus his contract is SO perfect for that kind of project.

It's no difference from LeBron, KD, others.

Get the stars and the others will follow.
Team gets LeBron with AD and piece together
    the test of the roster.

KD with Booker and now trade Ayton-CP3 to get the right supporting cast.

Siakim and Harden with Jalen Green, KPj, Jabari and Tari brings the others.

Field of dreams stuff....build it and they will come.

Clearing the salaries of Tate, Sengun, Nix, TyTy, Kenyon Garuba helps wipe the slate. In with those who can shoot and defend the rim.

Sorry stuff like that happens in win now mode.
    I don't make the rules
