my point isn’t that those are such highly skilled moves...my point is that nothing Green shows in his arsenal is on a level above what Gordon consistently displays...u can’t see what Gordon is doing and say that Green is way more skilled but alright, we aren’t getting him so it doesn’t matter...I’m out too
xiki - Yeah, we have the premier big man Academy. And, Mo was easily scoped close by at UT. (Already tried to get him last yr) If the Rockets are able to trade for this guy, he would quickly become a valuable rotation player..with a ton of upside. I mean, Mo is a top 6 draft pick...22 yrs old..2 yrs in..shotblocker with a J...stuck behind really good players. The combination of working with our people and playing with James... A lot of folks have already posted on this, now. 3 way deal w/ House & EG going out?
There isn't a lot going on, or at least that is being discussed at all. Most of the discussions with coaches are being done via zoom and other platforms. At this point the only way anything gets out is if one of 3-4 people say something.
I wanting know the new coach and the philosophy to follow. I want to know if TF is going to want to pull another CP3 and get Russ &/or James gone. ‘We’ know nada at this point, including where MDA might land and who he might want to get from Rox and what McNair and DM the GM might be thinking between Kings and Rox.
a year ago they paid Ariza an exorbitant amount to come be a veteran. All teams can use Gordon, including the Rockets.
That’s where I disagree. They need leadership that they don’t get from the owner. Buddy Buckets is a talent they are wasting. Fox is good. That team could be competitive.
And you would be wrong. And this is coming from a huge Jeff Green fan. I was one of the few who actively called for the Jeff Green signing. But AG is Magic's franchise player, plays more minutes, is a starter and is more productive than Green in all the counting stats and advanced stats, especially BEFORE he was unlocked with the Rockets. AG is one of Magic's best scorers, best playmakers, best rebounders and best defenders. Jeff Green's size and skillset at 32 is very similar to Aaron Gordon's at 25 but they are used by their respective teams very differently. There is a reason for that. I like how you are so focused on just skillset but completely disregard the other areas where AG is obviously better. AG is more explosive player - as a finisher, roller and lob threat, AG is the more aggressive player - especially as playmaker, as a defender, rebounder and rim runner. And AG is almost a decade younger with more potential. And finally, AG does not shrink or disappear in big moments, always wants the ball in clutch situations. Combine that with his balls to the wall hustle, work ethic, attitude/intelligence to grow his game each off season and willingness to play any position/role for betterment of team.
I never said Green was better than Gordon. This is completely about skillset which is why I focused on that. You might need to go back and read what I actually wrote and the post I responded to.
What? I responded to this post that you created. "Think of AG as much younger, more skilled, more explosive, better defending Jeff Green. And the PnR with Harden would be down right nasty." How is that picking nits? It's responding to your direct words, I said he was more explosive than Green
