If there is a spot for Perkins on the team I don't have a problem with it. I've lived most of my life in either the Beaumont area or Houston. I wouldn't mind homie getting another pay check from the local NBA team before he heads off into retirement.
This dude played ball in Beaumont and a Goon on the court. I wouldnt mind him for a vet min. He would be a better third stringer then Dorsey.
[Cool story bro alert] I work at chick-fil-a in deer park and this guy was in there today with his son and his son had a Kendrick Perkins shirt on so I told him I liked his sons shirt. He went on to tell me that Perk is actually his best friend and his sons Godfather. I told him that I had heard the Rockets had some interest in him. And he said that it was true and that Perk has narrowed it down to the Rockets or the Lakers (Idk why the Lakers would want him)... he did show me pics of him and Perk so he does know him, I'm just not sure if I should believe the rest. Lol
I definitely wouldn't want him if it means we'd have to cut a young player with potential (Tarik Black & Dorsey type situation) but if we make some trades and have open roster spots, would be a welcomed addition. If there's any injuries or foul trouble he'd be a serviceable big to come in, take up some space and give some hard fouls. He's a hometown guy (well close enough), has championship experience, big body for Howard to practice with as well.
Saw him last summer grabbing a late night bite during Ramadan. Said he's not fasting because he's trying to get bigger. Was in Houston because he went to high school here and his family and friends still live here.
