Most people hate this for reasons that are obvious: he's a volume scorer known for taking bad shots and for playing abysmal defense. I get that. However, if the Rockets were to acquire him it would be for him to get minutes NEXT to Harden at the point (at the expense of Beverley, I'm assuming). At least, that's the way I read it. For those of you that have the misfortune of following this years Celtics group closely, you would know that Crawford has essentially been the PG on that team. He's been running the offense; and to be fair, he's doing a respectable job at it. Posting one of the better AST/TO ratios in the league. Knows how to run the PnR. Given his gunner reputation and the fact that he's a RFA at the end of the season, you have to think he wouldn't cost much. Low risk, high reward. Maybe McHale can turn him into a Mario Chalmers type player that's tall, a capable passer, respectable defender and good enough offensively to make an impact when he needs to. Not saying I'm in love with this idea, by any stretch. Just saying, I'm keeping an open mind here.
Lmao. You lost all credibility comparing Lin's defense to Bev. Lin will never be close to the defender Bev is. Shame on you
shouldn't went after jared bayless...he's been killing us every year like he's from houston or something...
Asik+DMo+Brewer for Humphries+Bradley+Marshon Backup C, defensive wing/shooter, young scoring guard; no long-term obligations + clear cap in time for 2014 FA? Bev/Lin/AB Harden/Bradley/Marshon Parsons/Garcia TJones/Casspi D12/Humphries/Smith
Brooks is the better player and with him you know what you are getting, a scorer that has to work on his defense. I've watched enough of Jordan Crawford to know that he is having a good season because he's playing on a bad team and has the green light. It's not like Celtics are winning games. As a back up guard on a good team he'll actually have to use judgement resulting in him playing like he did last year for the Celtics. All that said for Houston to even look at this a 1st round pick maybe more than one would have to be involved.
The only time that Vecsey has ever really been "right" in a major way was the Clyde Drexler for Otis Thorpe deal... he knew it was a possibility the same day the Rockets and Blazers discussed the deal. That was 20 years ago.
If Lin gets traded I hope it's to a team where he is a starter and not a backup. For example to Rose and Rondo.
So you want him to get big numbers on a crappy team? Sounds about right when it comes to Lin's fans. More power to him I guess.
I understand the desire to nab Bradley from the Celtics, but I just don't see it happening. The guy is 23, averaging 14/5 and playing phenomenal defense. Regardless of the Rondo situation, I expect Bradley to stay as he can play both the 1 & 2 positions. As for Crawford, maybe DMo's agent is the one who was interested in him (trying to initiate a trade). I doubt it was Morey.
He's a good playmaker. And could turn a crappy team around, look what he did for the Knicks. He helped them get to the playoffs.
Don't see it happening. I can't remember a time when a player is listed as available to be traded that the Rockets aren't on the list of interested teams for. Seriously. I think sports writers just include Houston anytime they are listing potential teams by default now. Then, whenever the Rockets do make a trade, it is almost always for a guy that we didn't hear any rumors about.
I would love to have Avery Bradley on our team. I am a big fan of his game, but I don't see anyway that we could make that work.
