Sure glad the Rockets didn't apply that logic to Hakeem or we would still be looking for our first NBA championship.
That's r****ded logic, it's not even comparable to the Rockets. There are plenty of upgrades to be had over Scola and Martin, that's why we aren't winning with them. The Jazz can't even hope to replace Williams with someone as good as him.
And to add to that, I guess the Lakers should have replaced Kobe too when they kept failing year after year right?
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rumors/...t=AkK6y57_uO0aCSO38K75t3q8vLYF?urn=nba-325709 DM on the move for G-Wallace?
No!! the rockets need to play their own young wing players to develop them, this season and next are already ****ed! Develop the young guys DM...
If MJ was going to take an expiring and Rudy Fernandez for Wallace, then he should be interesting in an expiring and Chase, don't you think?
Last rumor I heard was Joel P., draft pick and cash for Wallace which would explain why Jordan got scared to deal his best player. Also heard Rudy was going to request a buyout and move back to Spain if he got dealt to Charlotte, so another reason Jordan backed off. I think if the Rox REALLY wanted Wallace they could put a package together that trumps most.
I was thinking if MJ turned down the deal after hearing from Rudy's agent that he was going to request a buyout and go back to Spain that MJ turned it down. Portland is not going to give up a lottery pick. They're still gunning for the playoffs. If they did trade a pick it would be lottery protected. I think a straight up salary dump would probably be very enticing to MJ. He doesn't want to lose more money and he knows they need to rebuild. So I believe that the first team to offer expirings that takes Wallace and either SJax, Diaw, or Diop off his hands will get the trade done, especially if MJ receives less salary back for this year as well. For instance, Shane, Jared, and Chase for Wallace and Diaw works salary wise, it saves Charlotte a couple million this season, and they get to wipe away salary going into next season. I would think MJ would be very interested in that. Not to mention, Yao's contract. If we offered up Yao's contract, MJ would slobber on himself to give us Wallace and Diaw.

I feel like Brooks might be going to Charlotte for Wallace. Which in turns makes Flynn needed as a new backup PG. Which in turn makes the Battier trade nesecary to get to the pick to land Flynn.
I love this guy and it would make watching houston the rest of the way a lot more fun. If we are not having a fire sale, this guy is a great add. Plus i think he gets us to the playoffs this year.

If we could get Wallace for Jeffries, 2012 NYK pick, Hill then I would do it. Then if we could somehow do the Brooks and Battier for Camby trade that Marc Stein reported about then that would be freaking awesome. Lowry // Ish Martin // Lee Wallace // Bud Scola // Pat Camby // Hayes That team is nice.
