http://www.foxcharlotte.com/news/lo...-Ejected-Reaches-13-Technicals-115566634.html And he was ejected twice in the Dallas series, I call those big games.
Ken Berger: Package for Wallace believed to be centered around Andre Miller. Marcus Camby was discussed, but he might retire rather than report to Char. Portland will need a PG if Miller is leaving and DJ is staying in Charlotte; how about Brooks for Batum? And throw in Battier and either Jeffries or JHill for Camby?
If the price for Wallace is that low, we should get him. At least no way the Blazers should get him ahead of us, giving an expiring and a pick.
Not picking on you, just generally curious: Are people here high on Batum? I watch him play and I just see another role player. I feel like he's suddenly incredibly overrated now just because POR held him out of a few trade discussions and labeled him 'untouchable' (ridiculous) once or twice. He's not THAT good. For the record, yes I would probably do Brooks-Batum. I just don't think he's a budding star like he's made out to be in the media.
Yep, agreed (and I stand corrected), that Boston game would qualify as "critical." Cats won the Boston game, IIRC it was a very emotional game - it was not Capt'n Jack's greatest displays I grant you (I seriously doubt any other player in the NBA would have been tossed). However, the guy is judged on a different scale than pretty much any other player in the NBA - if you watched that game (and the ridiculous non-call foul against him at the end of the Indiana game, two nights later) you would see that. Doesn't excuse it, just explains it. But Dallas + critical game != Cats;
If offer is an expiring contract in Przybilla and a pick, why can't we move in, unless Charlotte wants a pick from THIS draft? Because, if they're willing to wait for the '12 draft, we can give them the Knicks pick, and perhaps a young prospect now like Budinger or Hill.
Last year I started a thread were I wanted the Rox to go after Capt Jack, so I am a fan of the guy but he needs to go to a contender that needs a final piece. I fear if he got dealt here we'd become the Western conference version of the Bobcats and I rather not become that. When we had Ariza out of position then sure but not at this point.
If Gerald Wallace is a targeted player, maybe Charlotte wants to force the hand of the teams interested in him. Although an expiring and a draft pick seems slim pickings for a fairly talented player.
I *think* some of this stuff is from the Larry Brown era (anything relating to DJ should be). Heck, I hope all of this is just re-hash from the LB era. I don't actually get what CLT is trying to do w/ many of these trade options (if they are pursuing what the rumors indicate).
Michael is just using a leaky front office (Portlands) to set a base price for others to negotiate against, Morey for example, probably wants todays game to end before pulling the trigger on any move (pulling it mid road trip double header would be a kinda lame for the players involved really).

I really don't understand why some people want Wallace. He's not a rebuilding piece and he's far from being a superstar. All he would do is extend our mediocrity.
I don't understand why anybody think the Rockets are even thinking about rebuilding. The West just got really weak (for the most part) over the past week or so. Doors are opening up for the Rockets to make the playoffs. You really think Les Alexander is going to want to pass that up to go the "rebuild" route? Hell no, he's not.
... According to multiple sources the Portland Trail Blazers are going to win the Wallace sweepstakes in what could be a multi-team deal. The HOOPSWORLD team is following this story closely and will have more details in this space as they become available. Read more NBA news and insight: http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=18879#ixzz1EpH4gQlF Who knows what the heck is going on in this? I don't think anyone in CLT does.
Aaaaaand that would be a problem. The Jazz could have made the playoffs this year, but understood even with Williams they weren't winning anything. Thats what the Rockets have to do, they aren't winning **** with Scola/Martin.
