This is my issue. Howard and CP3 are not coming here but Wallace just makes us a forty-something win team instead a lower forty-something win team. Of course, then I look at Deron Williams agreeing to go the a lottery-bound NJ team and it makes me think maybe we do have a chance of getting that one superstar we need to really get things back in the right direction. Honestly, at some point, a superstar has to look at this team, this city and this community and think "I could win a ring there with what they have in place."
Rockets Randolph Wallace K.Brown Charlotte Brooks Jeffries Hill Pick Memphis Yao Budinger We give both teams cap relief and young expiring in return, we also get a Low post big that can play both the 4 and the 5 and we get the Laker killer in Wallace and we get a 7ft center in Kwame (yes i said Kwame)
NJ got Williams for a 3rd pick overall, an all star caliber player (Harris), and multiple picks (that they also acquired through trading other former lotto pics from years of sucking)....also, Boston got Allen for a 5th overall pick earlier, and KG for Jefferson who was a gem, again all acquired through years of sucking, and getting good picks. I'm not saying tanking is the answer, just saying we can't get a bunch of Wallace / Marin type players all through our roster that would keep us away from free agents and high lotto picks...
Cuban has Nowitzki. If we had a healthy Yao, I guarantee you we would already have gotten either Melo, Wallace, or some other players without any consideration for the cap / luxury tax. It has nothing to do with an owner's money, it has to do with a cap of a team that has 0 stars, and without cap room, has 0 chances of landing one.

And there you go....sad season for Rockets fans. I hope it will finally reflect on the profits so Alexander realizes that Adelman & Morey should go. No more promises of great seasons, great young talent, so called assets, guys that we liked for years only to (try and) trade them as soon as you can etc.
haha, no one wants our "assets". Hard to "buy low, sell high" when no one wants what you just bought.
