Gerson Rosas just stated that all the Front office guys are in Houston...but that recall of Jones and Smith makes no sense...they do not want jones to get injured in NBADL All-Star game??? Time will tell
The Rockets are looking for a stretch four. He is a very good one and also is a better rebounder than the stretch fours on the Rockets. He would be difficult to acquire and keep cap space.
Enough with waiting for this Summer to get a FA which will not be there(DH). Go for Josh Smith and get this team rolling into the playoffs.
Lin is a big reason (maybe the only reason) why we have the spacing and passing mentality. When he's on floor our offense is free flowing and smooth. Lol you guys seriously want to trade Lin for Gordon when Gordon needs the ball, he and Harden are match made in hell. Remember iso-Harden early in the season? Put Gordon (wrench) into the iso-Harden machine and we gonna have the worst shooting FG% backcourt in the L.
Feigen says "The call-up makes Jones ineligible for the D-League All Star Game on Saturday. The Rockets want Jones to rest after he played several games with a sore right thigh. Most NBA players prefer the time off to playing in the D-League All Star Game. Jones could return to the Vipers next week." BTW does anyone read the comments on the chron. I really like Jeremy Lin but the comments are hilarious. The sensitivity is ridiculous.
We're not even one season into our rebuilding yet and you're already being impatient. That's the recipe for mediocrity. You do know how valuable having salary cap is in the NBA nowadays and we should just use it on Josh Smith? Good things happen to those who wait and in this situation we are in righr now, we can afford to wait and be patient.
Honestly I think trade proposals like this are more about getting Lin out of Houston than actually upgrading our roster (the assumption being that moving Lin automatically upgrades our roster). There is a subset of fans who would approve any conceivable trade that moves Lin in exchange for another guard, even if it involves giving up half of our bench & prospects (probably including prospects) like a Gordon trade would.
They probably making a trade. Only reason why they recall them. How possible can you get injured in an NBADL All-Star game?
Maybe you can wait for another year to go by but nothing is guaranteed in this life. It has been too long of wait since the last Championship and IF a player can be had by next Thursday's deadline then get done. Summer's FA are not given either.
But remember how many moves we had to make just to get ourselves in position to land a player of Harden's caliber? Not to mention how lucky we got with OKC's situation. These things take time and patience. Just because we won a hand doesn't mean we need to go all in on the next one. We're in a GREAT position right now. A lot of teams are envious for sure. In one offseason we went from somewhere no one wanted to be to a pretty attractive destination for the top free agents. Let's not get antsy in the pantsy and give up our flexibility for a player unless it's the right fit and will put us in contention. (which personally I don't think any of the guys being talked about will do) Basically, I WANT KEVIN LOVE and nothing else will do.
