Im not sure what your argument is here. If they trade for Bogut he will be available sometime around the 2nd week of April. More than enough time to make an impact in the last 10 to 15 games. The way they are positioned now, if they are giving up say... Martin, Dally, and maybe one of Bud/Morris/Parsons, and getting back Stephen Jackson/(Bogut for last 10 games), theres no reason why they still cant stay in the playoff hunt even though they might be severly undersized for a few weeks. Morey has said multiple times that he will continue to make moves to set them up for the future even it sacrifices wins this year. Thats what he says so take him at his word if you want. I dont know why you are so concerned with the Rockets getting their lottery pick back this year, you should be knowledgeable enough to know that there are a slew of teams you know will end up much worse than the Rockets even if the Rockets loose a good majority of the games left in the year. -Charlotte, New Jersey, Cleveland, Phoenix, Sacramento, Golden State, Detroit, Washington, New Orleans, Toronto, Bucks.... Those are the teams that will finish with alot more ping pong balls than the Rockets. They have no shot at a top 10 pick. This is the year to get the Terrence Williams draft obligation out of the way. There is very little talent in the 12 to 20 pick range. Sure there will be some surprises, but the Rockets dont need depth, they need high level talent. They will have two picks already this year, no need to take another player from the 12 to 14 range when they wont see the floor at all next season anyways.
Well, since healthy centers don't get traded unless they are in the last year of their contract and demanding their way out of town...well, then we need to go ahead and roll the dice. If we get Bogut I will be pleased. I think he is due for a change in luck.
I think It could actually be Houston offering Lowry, or wanting to disguss Lowry in a deal. I dont consider either Curry or Ellis as natural point guards, but I agree that it could be offering Curry, but most likely not Ellis. Ellis was reported to have been offered a couple weeks ago, but the Bucks showed little interest because Skiles is a defensive minded coach and didnt want a backcourt that undersized so with Curry's injury issues this year and this coming out about Ellis weeks ago, Id have to assume that it probably wasnt Golden State in this case. I think this is very interesting because I thought all along that the Bucks where planning on getting their cap space situated in the next two years so they could keep Jennings there so its wierd that they would be taking offers for Lowry, Curry, Rondo, or another "all-star level" PG. If the Rockets are involved in shopping Lowry for Bogut then that makes me wonder how complex things are with the Gasol trade and the Bogut trade. Its very apparent to me that in 3 1/2 days the Rockets roster is going to look dramatically different in maybe areas. Then again, Stern might vetoe it all and it looks exactly the same.
Rockets can be the whitest team in the league. Rockets can be the whitest team in the league. Dragic/Llull Lee/Bundiger Parsons/?? Gasol/Patterson Bogut/Motiejunas
Uhmm did you see him play early this year? The guy has just had an unlucky streak of freak injuries. Just like Kevin Martin did prior to coming to the Rockets, but to greater extent.
finally someone speaks out. GARM loves chronicaly injured players and the bums take up cap room while wearing a suit next to Thabust the rest of season
