There is a difference between being injury prone (ankle tweeks and sprains) and succumbing to freak injuries (snapping your arm in half). The two are not the same.

Didn't people say that Yao and Oden only succumbed to "freak" injuries?

I'm not a doctor, but I think some guys are more susceptible those sort of injuries because of the constitution of their muscles, bones, and body-type.

I'd give up anything and everything short of futures for Bogut

That is a freak injury. In no way is that comparable to 360 pounds of yao on his size 18 foot.

Actually, why can't the Rockets be going after all three. They take the 1st deal or deals that are agreed to.

There is no difference between the two because the end result is identical. In each case you have a player that cannot take the court because of injuries and who cannot be relied on to contribute in a meaningful way. Didn't the Rockets just spend the past six years with two such players who were supposed to form the nucleus of a contending team? How'd that work out for you personally? As an aside, it would give all of the Morey apologists a new excuse in his defense: They can replace the current official Rockets' excuse: "It's not Morey's fault that Yao got hurt and broke down" with "It's not Morey's fault that Bogut got hurt and broke down." That should be good enough to hold the Rocketsheep for at least three or four more years.

Kevin Martin was injury-prone during his tenure with Sacramento but rarely gets hurt after he joined the Rockets. Bogut's trade value is low right now and I would take this gamble if i were Morey.

I disagree; the end result is not necessarily the same.

A player like Bogut who succumbs to freak injuries can break that cycle; where as a player like Oden will have a much more difficult time doing so.

Bogut will see more career games from this point on than Oden.

Jackson would at least provide some toughness on this team and allow us to have an iso option other than Lowry in end game situations. We need an "irrational confidence" guy like him on our team.

We then swap dragic+chase for G Wallace

    Dally
    Scola
    Wallace
    Jackson
    Lowry

    toughness check? pass

    that is one knife-fighting team

He had a lot of injuries but all of them are not injuries that could affect him the rest of his career. He still looked pretty good early in the season before he got injured again.

Jackson has a horrible contract. I don't want to take him unless he's a part of the Bogut deal.

Maybe not, the bucks have been reported as one of the few teams who have publicly shown interest in some of our young guys namely Patterson, Hill and Budinger. Maybe we can make a package around them and include Dalembert contract as a way to match salaries ... just a thought....

Andrew Bogut, Stephen Jackson and Jon Leuer for Patrick Patterson, Samuel Dalembert, Jordan Hill, Chase Budinger and NY 1st rd pick - Hasheem Thabeet(salary filler).

Could maybe get it done. It would free up Scola and Martin for other trades.

Martin and the Bear for Bogut and Jackson would be a pretty good trade for Milwaukee if they are done with Bogut. They get out of Jackson's **** contract and they can make a good playoff run.

If we actually had Llull coming over next year then it wouldn't be a killer to try to move Lowry and Scola for Pau.....but we don't and he won't be here anytime soon!

    Dragic, Llull
    Lee, sg
    Parsons, Morris
    Pau, Patterson
    Bogut, Donuts

That would be a decent team to look forward too, but it isn't reality.

Gotta keep Dalembert. No point in giving up size for size, especially with the injury history.

I would do Lowry and Scola for Bogut and Jennings based deal. Brandon is younger, more potential. Also fun to watch would help get more fans in the stans.

I really have no interest in moving Lowry for Jennings based on potential. Lowry buys into this team, while Jennings is talking about already researching the big markets.

Besides, you talk about youth, its not as if Lowry is pushing 30...He has plenty of youth for where this team is.

Is that so bad? (Unless, of course, DM the GM has a couple of Xtra base hits in his TradeDeadLine sleeve.)

Could a Buck play-off run equate into a Knixie Lotto visit? (If NYK in Lotto do they earn [sic] ping-pong majjick by dint of being the NEWYORKKNICKERBOCKERS???)
