The truth is probably in the middle between these two narratives; we chose to not offer him any of the MLE, and he got offended and left.

 

there's no return for lawson that could equal anything close to the still remaining potential he has on our squad, especially now that smoove is back in the fold.

you hope and pray that smoove brings some chemistry that we are sorely lacking and this team just clicks like they did last year. if we regain the chemistry we had last year i'd put this roster up against anyone's truth be told.

not holding my breath that we do though... but i'll definitely be watching.

Glad we are keeping him, only IF he keeps playing like against the Bucks and get that confidence back. He can shoot it, probably one of the top shooters on our team but the no alcohol is playing its parts. Also no real coaches on that bench. I liked his attack mode.

Lmao with bev dealing with injuries it is idiotic to trade Ty right now. Also with Lawson's salary expiring it could give us lots of capspace next year. And best of all...both Harden and Lawson are close friends of KD! If we could somehow trade Brew's contract and let tjones/dmo and convince Dwight to take less than 30M I think we can fit KD,Dwight, Harden and Lawson on the team with Bev 3za and Jsmoove. Hows that for superfriends? Lol! I mean why will KD go to wiz with just beal and wall when he can play with harden lawson and dwight?

I agree with you but he actually had one of his best 4th quarter games today and made some crucial buckets.

 

The excitement we have over Smith returning and what its done for the team is what I expected to happen when Lawson joined the team.
