What's the point of getting Odom- Rudy wouldn't know how to use him. He'd probably just turn him into a bad spot up 3pt shooter, much like he did to Pippen. The extent of a SF in Rudy's offense is a spot up 3pt shooter. We're better off getting Matt Bullard back. Odom's bad ass. Maybe if Rick Barnes coached the Rockets, we could use Odom.

    Amen.

Getting a SF is futile, unless Rudy utilizes him more than to be just an onlooker on offense.

Remember how pumped we were to get Pippen?

kidrock-That was when we were dumping it down low. A point forward would do wonders to take the ball handling pressure off of Francis.

Good to know the Rockets tried-maybe they'll convince them.

Apparently Boston just traded Joe Johnson with others for Delk and Rogers. Too bad we didn't push that angle harder.

That rockets lineup would be SMOKING?
Actually I read somewhere that pot was the drug of choice for athletes because it allowed them to have a little recreation and still be able to get up the next day without the hangover and play and compete.

Did you misplace or forget Griffin? He's the one who will be lighting the fires!

I've noticed that Eddie has become our spot up foward from the 3, so I believe Odom would be forced to roam, penetrate, and (or) pass as he wishes.

IMHO, I believe our tandem really wants another scorer. They sometimes look like they're tired of tring to get to the hole, but are limited in their options. Maybe next year it will be different with Mo back in the lineup. All in all, we do need another scoring threat, bad.

Sometimes I wonder why Rudy wanted Bull to move on when he knew Rice was coming in as damaged goods.

For some strange reason ,even on a awful yr, mostly due to a bad wrist, he still is avg about the same amount assist as Francis at 6 a game. 13pts 6rebs and 6 asst as a 22yr old and someone says they don't want him? They should inquire about him and if they have to give up Thomas ,Willis and a pick or something like that combined with a pick, they shoul keep pushing. Our 3 spot wouldn't be a problem after this summer if we wouldn't have locked our cap down. I read where after next summer, the pacers are going to have a lot of cap room and make a run for duncan. Can you picture O'Neal and Duncan, along with Harrington,Tinsley and whoever at the 2 spot? People were clearing and freeing cap room and we add cap killers.

This is some of the best news that I've heard. At least we know that the Rockets are looking to acquire the player or players needed to get them over the hump. I wonder however if there was an offer, and if there was one, what the offer was? Or whether the Rockets were shot down at the mention of Lamar Odom's name.

I think we could get the same kind of player in Rod Grizzard with Toronto's pick that we are getting. It seems that we are getting closer to the lottery with that pick and we could pick him up. What do yall think?

Maybe the Rox inquired at what it would take to get him and agreed to wait to the summer, when teams' draft picks and contracts would shake out. Thus, the inquiring reporter (Aldridge) is told that the Rox asked and were turned down. 'Cause what would we offer now?

If we have the opportunity to get Odom, I'd pass on drafting a player with 'potential' for similar abilities, one, because Odom is proven, and two, we can't afford the luxury of waiting a couple years for a draft pick, even an almost sure thing to develop unless Glen Rice comes back next year and kicks butt.

Odom's lack of shooting does worry me, but I think he could help make the players we have better. I'd like to see Eddie really blossom into a go-to player and for us to continue to have at least two starters shoot over 40% from the perimeter or just have someone who we can really, really depend on to nail the open trey.

If it comes down to Odom for a Top-5 pick, I don't see how the Clips would refuse. They don't need Odom, and they don't want to pay him or anyone else for that matter. I don't see how else they can get talent so cheaply, and why let him walk?
