Chuck Hayes is a FA with no Bird rights for the Rockets. Bonzi is as good as gone. Sweetney has an expiring deal but Bird rights. Sounds like a way to get an inusrance policy against losing Hayes.
Hayes has a two-year contract. He's not a FA until after next year, and then the Rockets get "Early Bird Rights".
No way should we trade Bonzi for Sweetney, Sweetney is to fat to be playing basketball at the top level and he is not on the Bonzi is. In otherwords, Bonzi is far mo valueable to this team then Sweetney and an expiring contract, the Bulls would have to add something alot more to get Bonzi and the only tradeable assit they have is the Knicks pick which I feel they wouldn't want to give up. They may throw in Noc if they have a huge desire to get Bonzi but if the rumours are of Sweetney for Bonzi, then CD should hang up the phone striaght away.

You are missing the point. Moneyball dictates you would have to overpay Hayes to keep him as witnessed by what you just posted. Hayes' and his agent will be able to use this. The Rockets aren't going to pay the tax just to re-sign Hayes.
I love Bonzi's game. He seems to be fitting in quite perfectly. I'd only give him up for Duhon and maybe another big like PJ

Free agents are still dictated by the market (i.e. Bonzi's case this year). If no one else values Hayes, he'll have to take what we offer him.
RD, way too many new players to integrate in your trade. I like your trade stopping at the cut Griffin part. One extra guard who can shoot (preferrable a PG) is all we need.
