He was kidding about Hinrich, but with Duhon you may be onto something, totally agree with you and would definately solve our back-up PG problem.

BTW, Chucky Atkins was held out of last night's game, we'll see...

Nobody leaves unless someone who can shoot comes in. Shooters needed.

Agreed. I'd LOVE to have Duhon. We could start him for years and years and years down the line.

Wells, Novak, JL3 for Duhon? Pretty please?

Chuck Hayes is a FA with no Bird rights for the Rockets.

Bonzi is as good as gone.

Sweetney has an expiring deal but Bird rights.

Sounds like a way to get an inusrance policy against losing Hayes.

Hayes has a two-year contract. He's not a FA until after next year, and then the Rockets get "Early Bird Rights".

No way should we trade Bonzi for Sweetney, Sweetney is to fat to be playing basketball at the top level and he is not on the Bonzi is.

In otherwords, Bonzi is far mo valueable to this team then Sweetney and an expiring contract, the Bulls would have to add something alot more to get Bonzi and the only tradeable assit they have is the Knicks pick which I feel they wouldn't want to give up.

They may throw in Noc if they have a huge desire to get Bonzi but if the rumours are of Sweetney for Bonzi, then CD should hang up the phone striaght away.

who are we going to lose hayes too? the guy would be a scrub on any other team. not even nash could get him easier buckets than what tmac gives him, and he still manages to blow those.

I don't see Sweetney as a fit here. You could make a case for Duhon though.

Exactly what I was going to post. How many teams are dying to sign a 6'6 PF..

He did have a pretty nice dunk in last nights game. Didn't know he could get up so high and quick.

    You are missing the point.

Moneyball dictates you would have to overpay Hayes to keep him as witnessed by what you just posted.

Hayes' and his agent will be able to use this.

The Rockets aren't going to pay the tax just to re-sign Hayes.

I love Bonzi's game. He seems to be fitting in quite perfectly.

I'd only give him up for Duhon and maybe another big like PJ

Why don't we just do THIS:

Trade Sura and Lucas III to Minny for James

    in one trade

trade Tsakalidis to Minny for Griffin in another trade

    cut Griffin

trade Bonzi to Detroit for Davis and Murray

    PG Alston/James/Spanoulis
    SG McGrady/Head/Murray
    SF Battier/Snyder
    PF Howard/Hayes/Novak
    C Yao/Mutombo/Davis

I mean damn that team is going to win it all.

Free agents are still dictated by the market (i.e. Bonzi's case this year).

If no one else values Hayes, he'll have to take what we offer him.

RD, way too many new players to integrate in your trade. I like your trade stopping at the cut Griffin part.

One extra guard who can shoot (preferrable a PG) is all we need.

Interesting ideas. Lots of trades there that could risk disrupting chemistry. But I see the logic.

Agreed, bringing in Davis and Murray may break the chemistry that we have established.

How about Sura + VSPN + JLIII for Mike James and Griffin. Cut Griffin...

    Yao/Deke/Tsakalidis
    Hayes/Howard/Novak
    Battier/Bonzi/Snyder
    T-Mac/Head
    Rafer/James

Am I the only one who doesn't want to trade Bonzi, and thinks he will be big for us in the playoffs?
