Tickets for the RoxKnicks MSG game is still available, but they're in the nosebleeds, and I refusae to pay 160 bux for 2 tix to watch the game from there.

I live in Middletown, NY but I commute into the city. just moved up from Cypress area in Houston 3 months ago. I splurged a little and got 17 tickets for the Rockets vs. Knicks game on Feb. 5th so i have people flying up for that. I'm also flying down to houston for the December 27th game against the Jazz because both my little neices will be dancing in the halftime show at the Toyota Center. Anyone else going to be there either of those games? Anybit, let me know if ya'll get together.

    718 Represent!

I finally broke down and bought League Pass, so I'm mostly staying in, but I"m sure I'll be up for a NYC Rockets rally at a sports bar every now and then. Sounds fun.

Also, I'm totally up for banning together with y'all and getting a mini-bock of Rockets tickets for a Nets or Knics game.

regarding where to watch, its gonna be difficult to find a centrally located venue, but maybe we could put up a poll...

I know I always plug Blondies, and I also realize a trek to the upper east or upper west side is far, but heres the deal- blondies is an official bar for UT alumni, they watch all the UT football games there, and much like The Gin Mill, it can get pretty rowdy when a bunch of Texans living in NYC get together...

Hey accross110th, I'm on 159th. You know any places closer than Blondies that might work for habitual use, if not for the first of the year? I'd like to be a bit closer to home after Central Time Zone games on work nights.

Count me in for any rocket viewing parties (on weekends, of course) in NYC or North New Jersey. It's easy for me to get into Manhattan, as I work in Jersey City, Passaic, Morristown and Lower Manhattan. Please send me any info you can at matt_gilbride@yahoo.com.

I can also meet Rox fans at the Meadowlands for the Nets/Rox game. We could meet at Redd's, which is right next to Giants Stadium!

    Rox in 05!!!!!

Looks like we're going to need an uptown bar and a downtown bar for regular/midweek games.

I caught the game at the Park Avenue Country Club. I was excited to find that the place was covered in big screen and projection TVs. The help gave me a few strange looks when I asked for the Rockets game, but that was to be expected. Overall, no one hassled us and a few people even took interest in the game (Yao and Van Gundy being the main attractions).

The food was average though - bland menu, bland taste. The price was fair (for NYC) and the portions were good, but we like a lot more spice down south. The service was weak too. But the important thing was that we were comfortable watching the game - and it was a great game too.

Thanks to everyone for your NYC recommendations.

Hey all. Another NYC Rocket fan here. In fact, I'm still part of that Yahoo group, but due to being in school away from the city, I was never able to make it out for gatherings. Anyway, I'd love to get out there on some weekends to meet up with fellow Rockets fans to watch the game and what not. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, the main thing is finding a common location. 2x4, Country Club, Blondies. Any other candidates?

Maybe we could get that Yahoo group rolling again. Might have more luck this year. :) Or at the very least keep this thread alive for any information regarding get-togethers?

Was at 2x4 watching the game with Tycoon Chip. He's practically a manager at that place now. Maybe able to get drink specials for Rockets fans if we pull enough people...
