I think the Rockets need to hold on to the cap room. Dalembert is a solid player, but you can't give him franchise player money.

Try Hill and Thabeet to see if there is lightning in a bottle. and if there isn't, go for another high lottery pick.

Lottery picks and cap space. A good way to build a championship roster.

@sam_amick Have heard, to put it kindly, that Dalembert isn't exactly a fitness model these days...

Forget this guy. Sounds like he doesn't even want to ball. I'm fine with Thabeet and Hill. Hopefully Sacremento signs him.

Yeah, I'm sure the Kings will re-sign Dally after the news about Chuck.

Which is fine by me too.

Please God, Stern, whoever, dont let this happen. The stories of the fat player after the lockout are true - there is always at least 1 guy who just lost it. Sammy D, welcome to Kemp status..

Pass..... Dalle isnt taking this team over the top, and the contract he wants can really hamper their offseason cap plans. Unless its a ridiculously one-sided contract in the Rockets favor, trust me, they are better off with Hill/Thabeet/G. Smith.

Ive watched Dalembert play for years and he isnt evan as good as Ive seen Jordan Hill play At Times.

He can block some shots and take up space, but thats really about all he can do. Zero offense, poor work ethic, occasional bad lockeroom attitude, no upside, older, and expensive... No thank you.

Whatever they do, I hope they don't overpay for this (rumored to be) out of shape kemp-wannabe. We really don't need him that bad that I would sacrifice future cap space for him.

Yep, I think losing Chuck means Dalembert is more crucial to Sacto now. Don't count the Maloofs out to make a screwball move, tho.

Doubt it's happening here. Rockets probably would have signed him by now.

Don't count on it. Morey will be low balling until the last second

I dont really want him. It would be embarrassing for Morey to wnat another player only to lose out on another low level player who wont add anything to our already good team. They will be the exact same with Dalembert or not.

It really depends on if they want to go to war with the unknown or having at least someone who is proven, albeit little out of shape

And he would have tons of incentive to drop the weight after signing his guaranteed contract.

Think about it another way. He reportedly couldn't stay in shape even though he's up for a new contract. That's pretty damning, even by NBA standards.

I haven't been following him much so I won't track his record how he stays fit during summer.
The Haitian is after money, contending situation.....and so on....
I am just not someone who says strictly yes or no on this agenda.
