Kind of makes you wonder if this is any indicator of us acquiring rubio being that Dunn recently coached him up
So we fire Adelman which means his staff decides to walk with him, hire the joke and muppet head coach McHale and then start re-hiring Adelman's staff. Seems like our coaching hires are following the path of us bringing back old players like Dorsey, Adrien etc.
It's impossible for us to actually know what Dunn's impact was, but the Wolves quietly had a pretty good defense the last two seasons (#12/#13), which is quite impressive given their frontcourt of Love, Pekovic and all the players they tried to pass off as NBA SFs in that time. And of course the Rockets defense was pretty good when he was here under Adelman.
Meanwhile the Clippers quietly add Cassell, Lawrence Frank and Mike Woodson... http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/...icially-hired-los-angeles-clippers-assistants
What is the problem hiring Dunn again? I know you have McHale Tourette's syndrome, but why is this hire so bad?
I think the Rockets were good defensively during the Aldeman period because of JVG lasting defensive presence with our players like Battier, McGrady, Yao, Hayes, Alston and Mutombo. But kudos for that coaching staff to continue the defense for later years. I do like the Dunn signing. Would have liked Hollins more but at least we have a defensive mind on the coaching staff. I think if we could have added Hollins, we become a top 5 defense and a true contender. But, I'll take Dunn and seeing what he can do. I love the direction this team is heading with a more defensive attitude. We saw how much emphasis they are putting towards defense in the interviews today. I don't think we'll be the early Pistons or the Grizzles but adding defensive minded hustle players is a step in the right direction. The offense will be there as Harden is arguably the 3rd most dangerous offensive player in the league and Howard will get you 20 a night and our mindset of quick and efficient shots. If our defense can be top 8, we will be a very dangerous teams.
Why is State Senator Clayton R. Davis standing behind Rick? Sheeeeeiiiiit edit: Lol i guess I'm not the only one Here's another one - Jack Sikma
I am pleased with the Dunn hiring and Buckner's promotion. This should help our defense preparation. I hope our players will work hard with them.
This is correct. JVG's defense is so good that it even works against his own team's offense. The guy just doesn't like seeing offenses flow at all.
