This isn't fair to Bosh: http://stats.nba.com/playerTrackingRebounding.html?pageNo=1&rowsPerPage=50&SeasonType=Regular Season Bosh collected 62% of the rebounds he had a chance at last season. His numbers are almost the same as Serge Ibaka in terms of rebounding statistics.
That's fair, they let pretty much anyone into the basketball HOF, the rest of the statement still stands. It's not fair to compare Bosh to guys like Dirk or Duncan, they were better at age 35 than he ever was.
as you age and get older, you get better in your stats because you gain experience just like with baseball, up until you regress and go on that downward spiral. EDIT: OK, maybe 46%... Just looked at his stats from him playing in the NBA... He did have that broken hand... when he shot under 40% that one season... but with him playing in Houston, he won't have to be a high-volume shooter like he was in Minnesota, where he was the first scoring option... he'll be either the 3rd, MAYBE 2nd scoring option, where he will take fewer but smarter shots, not being launch-happy all the time.
Yeah but that speaks to him not being in position to get rebounds....as a center.....on a team with no big man at all. I don't think he'll be in a better position to get boards as a PF next to Howard.
He was a center that the team asked to go stand at the 3 point line. That may or may not be the way he gets used here, but the point is his rebounding numbers aren't because he just isn't good at it like you said.
What kind of grown man gets a contract offer from an employer, calls up his buddy/coworker and asks "what do you think?" Be a man. Make your own damn path in life. Jeez.
Bosh is waiting for LeBron. But all LeBron can say is: "Hey Bosh, I know Houston can offer you 20 million a year for 4 years to go on a team stacked with young superstars... but I'd like for you to accept a $15 million a year 4 year deal to stay with me, so that I can have the max money, and only with a 2 year contract so I can be allowed to leave you holding the bag for the last 2 years of your severely underpaid contract. Plus we get to play with Wade again the 3rd part of our big 3. Come on, Bosh, please?"
Kevin Love's game will never give him 50% shooting because he takes too many 3s. you can say his TS% will be great but his fg% will never be great.
Bosh is the floor? Looks to me like Bosh is the ceiling now. There is NO guarantee that Bosh: 1. Leaves Miami 2. Picks Houston I have to admit though.... it would be very convoluted but a line up of... Howard/Bosh/ (Tucker?)/Harden/Rondo ..... would be interesting
