It's too soon to consider the Lin trade "for nothing." We will likely fill out the roster. It's not clear yet if Canaan and Johnson will be better than Lin.

The point is that there's no reason to trade Lin as of this moment unless Bosh gave the go-ahead. Lin could've been used in a 3-way deal as salary filler. If the Rockets wanted Rondo or Love, they actually need Lin's salary to make those trades work. This applies to a multitude of other players that the Rockets may be targeting. By trading Lin to the Lakers, the Rockets receive a $8.3mil trade exception, limiting the salary they can take back to that amount.
He wants money. He could play the Jamal Crawford role. Free reign on offense and take the backup 2-3 minutes.
This is just falling apart. Morey is known for low risk high reward analysis, I'm hoping we get something symbolic by Saturday
I don't see why a guy would claim to be an insider just for kicks, he sounds legit. none of us saw it coming, everything made sense. I believe the guy, so any info he provides , bring it on. There are plenty of options, have to stay positive and be smart.
I agree if it means we are getting some solid contributors. Gasol,Marion,Lance,Deng. If not , Then we do resign him.
Get a life dude. Just because your upset, don't need to be a jerk. I gave correct info and Bosh shafted us at the last min after giving his commitment to Morey only to take it back after we made the moves we needed to.
Howard didn't sign here for this crap... not worried about losing Lin it was the draft picks.. 2 of them!
