Um, the fouls had nothing to do with playing against 7 footers.

Refs just completely mentally broke the Rockets with those calls. This team is young and it took them 3-4 minutes just to gather themselves. That is what BS calls do, it doesn't necessarily show up in the box score, but it breaks teams down when they know the refs are against them.

All of those fouls, besides the Beverly one, were cuz a small dude was trying to hold someone they should not have been on IIRC.

while I do think the early fouls were BS, we looked like SHI* down the stretch.

Most of the fouls were near the FT line. The only foul that wasn't was Asik fouling Dwight under the basket, I believe that was the 5th foul of the quarter

You are absolutely wrong. The Rockets were not getting the same calls as the Lakers. At the end of regulation Meeks falls down because he is trapped, no one touched him and he gets the foul. Typical. Everyone knew what was going to happen. Refs put Lakers in the penalty at the beginning of the 4th quarter on BS calls. Rigged.

We all knew the refs would play a role with BS calls. Not surprised.

    Exactly the matchups Stern wanted.

On the brightside, I just won a lot of money betting on the Lakers

NEVER bet against the lakers in big games. Easy money. If my team's gonna lose, I'm gonna make some money off of it

Yup, as expected, the Lakers get 14 free throws in the 4th quarter and it completely erases our lead.

Yeah that 5 foul burst in 3 minutes completely ruined our mojo... completely put us out of sync.

That being said, we played like shiz and McHale can't coach in big time moments

that's a playoff type game. Rockets just are not well coached and prepared enough to win such games, with the so-called Read and React offense.

This game had nothing to do with the refs. People are fishing if they think it is.

We lost because of coaching, missing shots, turnovers, and bad defense. Plain and simple no question about it.

The biggest issue with Harden was that he knew he couldn't drive. I mean, Dwight HIT HARDEN IN THE FACE twice in overtime (I think he got the arm, too, but the face is usually most obvious for an official) and neither were called. If Harden and Lin know they can't drive because Howard will be allowed to murder them inside, this offense will get pretty stagnant. Not sure what they're supposed to do.

(Oh, and all that happened while the Lakers were going to the free throw line for touch fouls 50 feet from the basket.)

    Bull****!!!

Coaching, substitutions, missed shots and bad defense had us a six point lead going into the fourth.

And then out of nowhere 4 fouls in the first three minutes leads to 14 free throws for the Lakers in the fourth.

    Rockets shot 3.

34 to 24 in free throws... 28 to 17 in fouls...

LA in the penalty with 8 to go in the fourth! Just rediculas! Harden got HAMMERED by howard on those last couple of drives!

I get it J Sizzle you don't want to be THAT guy. You only control what you can control, BUT the foul calls that got the Lakers in the penalty with 9 minutes to go was ridiculous.

Youre trying to say after 3 qtrs of playing one way you are just supposed to stop playing that way for 1 qtr? Refs called a completely different game in the 4th. even you can see that

I think most people who aren't biased would say those are defendable as being no-calls in that situation. Quite a few Rockets fans would say that too.
