Except with Harden and Howard on the team who do you want doing "game management"? Even if Harden isos a lot and Dwight has nights where he bricks everything, I'd still rather have them with the ball than Rondo, because frankly the only reason Rondo's looking so good is because he plays in the East, I remember last year some dude was an all star in the east and look at him now, totally a non-factor after NO gave up Nerlens Noel and a pick for him.

There aren't a ton of teams with spread attack offenses in the East, but in the West Rondo will face teams that will make him pay for not being able to shoot the ball. The whole squad saw it last night with the Warriors, if we got another brickmaster who can't even shoot an open 3 consistently opponents will be able to zero in on Howard and Harden and make it hard for the Rox to actually win games.

I found this quote from an old article he did while he was entering the draft.

He definitely has the right attitude about playing defense.

That's called Chandler Parsons, and they're normally not as cheap as he is.

Don't we already have that problem with Beverley and Lin? Beverley clearly isn't a reliable outside threat and Lin is only effective when he feels like being engaged in the game.

If you have great players around Rondo, you absolutely can win around him and mitigate his shooting woes while maximizing all his other awesome skills.

    Meh...

His game is evolving, and he is going to shoot 42% from the field when 75% of his shots are threes... fWIW he is around 50% on 2's.

In college 89% of his shots were 3's at VCU, he is actually a more rounded player now and his 3 point percentage is higher now than in college.

He can finish okay and moves well. What he doesn't have is a mid range game.

He is a better signing than Ben Gordon or Danny Granger because he is a superior player.

For those disappointed in hearing the Daniels news, I can't begin to tell you how good of a three point shooter Troy is. He's one of those guys that can shoot lights out with minimal space, something the Rockets have a plethora of.

Any issues he'll have will be on the defensive end. He does have trouble keeping his man in front of him. So if he's playing, I would expect his man to get to the basket and Dwight or Omer will alter the shot. This means, you have to have a very good rebounder helping if Troy is in the game.

Your answer is either deep on our bench or hope and pray that Reggie Evans gets cut from Sacramento.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/p.../2013/qualified/false/position/power-forwards

At PF, Reggie Evans was 1st in the league in rebounds per minute at 21.7 per 48 last year. This year he's 2nd in the league in rebounds per minute at 17.9 per 48. (The first place guy played 7 games and is a statistical anomaly.)

Greg Smith is the other option in my mind. I don't think his numbers are worth looking at this year, but his rebounding per minute was 18th last year.

So if you think opposing coaches would attack Troy, I think you have a game plan. If they attack the PF position, I'm not sure we do to well. It just depends on who you're matched up against.

    You said it.

Both players don't look like they'll make the team better.
Would've have been better to have gotten picks
...and why in the hell didn't we trade Lin and Asik?!!!

IF Granger or anybody who we might be interest in gets cut and wants to sign w/ us, who do we cut now ? Casspi ? Smith ? Covington ?

Put him in anyway, it's not like Casscia can defend without fouling anyway.

Not sure about Daniels, but Hamilton will probably be worked into the rotation sooner rather than later.

I think Hamilton is going to get a shot in the next few games to see what he can do. It'll probably be a make or break deal for him. If he plays well in the stints McHale gives him early, he'll play more. If he misses shots and is a defensive sieve, he'll be benched and possibly cut for another player.

Good move. Ronnie just didn't work out(playing or trade piece). Time to give someone else a chance.

I love the addition, could possibly get mins behind Harden.....

I think Covington and Daniels have a bright future with this team, cant do any worse than casspi and garica, thats forsure.
