    What?!!!

Flip is an under-sized SG that can do nothing but score. He doesn't pass, he doesn't defend, and he doesn't rebound. It's a good eal for the Cavs since Hughes is out for the season and he gives tham another scorer.

To trade Wesley, our best SHOOTER and a guy who puts an effort on the defensive end, for Flip would have been a travesty.

The one interesting thing is that Wesley's 5M expiring contract will now be allowed to expire.

I would think that the way he is playing, that some teams making a playoff push would want someone like Wesley on their team giving them scoring/shooting off of the bench.

Or perhaps the Rockets felt he was just too valuable to give up "this season" to the team's chances (as they are) of making the playoffs.

Anyrate, Wesley's expiring contract will expire without any talented added for the future. Just feels like a wasted opportunity.

I was going to say that. So there must be some kind of referral. I think at one time, Bogans, Fitch and Hayes were playing together on Kentucky so they must know each other pretty well.

Wesley is the most underrated Rocket, he will be resigned.

Agreed. I still don't understand why people are so eager to throw David Wesley away. He had problems at the start of the season because of the knee surgery, but now that he has recovered he might actually be better than he was last season. It isn't by accident that he is one of the top 10 most prolific 3 point shooters in the past couple of decades (look it up).

I can understand wanting to move him to the bench for a younger, bigger shooting guard. But to trade him away for a crap player like Flip Murray, you'd have to wonder what some people are smoking.

True. For Rockets to go to contender-level, there must be upgrade on the SG. Hope that Greek guy will work out for Rockets and DW will play great with significant less minutes.

I'm glad we got out of DA's option for next year. This gives us more room under the luxury tax threshold this summer to sign a free agent.

I'm disappointed with this trade. Meanwhile, I can't believe the Cavs got Murry for Wilks plus some cash. I think we should have offered DA + 2nd round pick for Flip murry(sg off the bench could have provided some scoring like mike james did last year) and rick brunson(a backup pg that hopefully we wouldn't need too much). Damn all this speculation throughout this year about what are we gonna do with the expiring contracts and really nothing to show for it. Now I guess we have to wait until the summer or next season to figure out what these trade exemptions will bring us. :(

Flip is undersized at 6 feet 4 inches?

And Wesley isn't at 6 feet 1 inches?

    Dude??????

Wesley will only get worse as the years go by....not better....he has been great for us of late, sell HIGH !

Happy birthday. At least your birthday doesn't usually fall on Draft Day (like mine), a typicly dark day in Rockets history...

I've seen this comment(we get out of DA's option for next year) a couple of times today but i don't understand. It wasn't like he would have exercised that option anywayz right.

And we still have our TE.

I get the feeling if we miss the playoffs or get there but don't succeed -- there will be some major roster movement in the offseason. The only players that may not be traded other than the big 3 are Deke and Luther. (Although I get the feeling Wesley will stay in Houston.)

Also, this is good for future recruiting. When trying to get free agents for cheap in the future, we can always tout our history that if it doesn't work out and you are not happy with your playing time or role, we will send you to a good destination (Miami), as opposed to NBA Siberia.
