I actually watched two games for this guy and i was very impressed with his scoring ability. Although i know this may stir up laughter, i really like this deal for our team. He's young, 23, and can shoot the ball from what i saw (even if his numbers dont show it)

I can understand if a Rockets Fan is upset if there is not a more substantial move made today, but I cannot see what is not to like about this deal. Fitch is younger, tougher, cheaper and more versatile than Anderson. The team is unquestionably better, if only marginally, and certainly not worse because of this deal.

So, Rockets are getting younger with each trade. Long live the youth movement! :D

Seriously though, we really can't expect much return for DA. So the team get younger and will have a bit more cap room next season and younger, so it's all good.

The thing is that the Rox's most valuable asset was probably Wesley's expiring deal. And with David playing so well of late, JVG probably didn't want to give him up.

i like this deal...dump DA's salary and his player option for next year for a rookie...we get younger, and even if he doesnt play he is still better than DA who was never going to playfor us again anyways.

Meanwhile....the Cavs get Ronald Flip Murray for a bag of chips.

Cavs acquire scoring guard 'Flip' Murray from Sonics
    ESPN.com news services

The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired Ronald 'Flip' Murray from the Seattle SuperSonics in exchange for little-used guard Mike Wilks, a second-round pick and $500,000, ESPN.com has learned.

NBA front-office sources say the deal, which is awaiting league approval, is expected to be announced later Thursday.

Wow, that was a great trade for the Cavs, and for the Rockets? They set out to get a backup PG, and they did it, fine by me.

It looks like we've both just traded TEs for each player ...

We sent a 386k TE to Miami for Fitch, and Miami sent us a 1.5 mil TE for DA.

It's just fixing an offseason signing mistake, and either getting our money back, giving us a 1.5 TE for another year, or what we need to get under the luxury tax.

Fitch can be cut, and it won't be the end of the world, or a financial waste.

I'd rather have JL3, and I'd definitely liked to have gotten Murray. He could sprout like Michael Redd ...

See that sucks...you just have to think that CD was concentrating on getting DA out of here, and probably missed on some nuggets like Murray.

I would have traded Wesley's expiring contract for Flip.

Which means we now have a 1.5M TE from this move and ~ 3M TE from the Moochie trade. Just something to file away.

I have always supported every move that the Rockets have made, although this one was rather disappointing. However, I can see why the Rockets aren't making that big a push if this is it for the season. The Rockets are far enough behind to the point where addition to talent might cripple them for the future. I'm sure if the Rockets are in the playoff picture currently, that a better deal might have gone through. But tha'ts just my two cents. Meanwhile, we're getting younger.
