Miami probably has an exception themselves. Big enough to cover DA. Fitch has to be making the minimum. DA's making $1.6 mill. So the difference is in the neighborhood of a million give or take a few hundred thousand. So unless it's Fitch and somebody else, then we should have a small exception on our hands. Since you can't aggregate an exception, a TE this small isn't much of anything, so like I said, Meh.

 

Miami DOES have a TE. I think it is 1.9M and was to expire today.

 

Remember .... Stats don't tell everything. Neederman = Fitch.

At this point, I'm glad we got something at all. DA didn't pan out for us.

Gerald Fitch although not a star, role player or whatever, at least knows his role. Something DA didn't. If Fitch plays, he will come into the game and hold the fort down while Rafer gets a rest and won't complain about minutes and cause problems.

Plus he's young, it'll be good to no longer see that we are not the oldest team in the history of the nba any more every time we play on television.

 

Yeah, I'm sure if that hadn't had happened we would have gotten some grade A talent for Derek Anderson....

Hey at least Fitch is young and doesn't have a history of injuries.

 

Face it guys, DA is damaged goods, his body is so weak and he's so slow now that I don't think he's of much value anymore...add to that the fact that this whole DA must be traded thing went public, and other teams knew the Rox had to get rid of the guy no matter what.

 

Either that or the only other potential destination was the Lakers...and seeing as how we are going to have to pass them, there isnt any sense in making them better.

You know, it may be too small to note on ESPN right now, but they did actually mention the DA problem in multiple telecasts leading up to the trading deadline. Since I haven't seen it on ESPN yet, I'm hoping that there truly is a chance that we did something else as well. Maybe this was to lead to something else.

Any maybe not. But I'm going to keep my hope until later today.
