Do we get a trade exception with that? The salaries can't possibly match... can they?

I remembered that right after I posted it. However, Anderson is from an older generation. I would think the three UK players on the Rockets were teammates.

Do the salaries match up enough?

Do we get a pick in the deal?

Will the guy ever see playing time? Will Lampe ever see playing time? Do we have other scrubs that I don't remember now?

Probably a small one, in the neighborhood of $1 million. Meh.

    Ugh!

Maybe the scouts have seen something that doesn't show up in the stats. But just looking at the stats, I'd rather leave Luther as the backup PG.

That's how I see it. Clearly, no one wanted Anderson and we have a tendency to overblow what we should get in return for people.

To get an exception, doesn't Miami have to be under the cap? this does not fit under the cap.

That's what I'd see it as - cap dump because of DA's player option. Plus they couldn't keep DA around as I think he would cause a stink if he wasn't given the proper playing time - which it didn't look like it. I doubt Fitch sees any minutes but he and Lampe can keep the bench warm and wave the towels.
