With all these teams getting new uniforms every couple of years, the important question is Why did we wait 8 years to get rid of our ugly PJ's? All anyone talks about is how ugly they are, yet some teams have changed uniforms twice since we've had them. Why did we keep them so long?
I forgot where i heard this, but i think they said on August. The Rockets will unveal their new uniforms.
Now THAT looks pretty slick...Maybe change the color of the Rocket, and have a fire-like effect instead of that lightning like jagged effect...
Damn..that would look pretty bada**. I like the way it looks. The blue should be something lighter though...like you said. Fire effect.
I think gold would have been better than the blue. Oh well, if I have free time next week I'll mess around with it. B

reminds me of a theme park ride, like "Greased Lightning" i rather have the Ruff Ryder "R" (see post below) than that. but it is better than what we have now. same concept though, maybe the hatred is embedded into me to thick. sorry...

I know I'm a little late but I havent been here in a couple of days. My family was involved in a wreck in which they were rear-ended by a drunk driver. Anywayz I have solid info on new uni's to be unveiled for the upcoming season. My info comes from sources within the league who often report there findings ot various sports business related websites like sportsbusinessnews.com, sportsbusinessdaily.com, sportsbusinessjournal.com etc. My info has always been right on the mark. I alerted of the Cavs new logo and uniforms before they were unveiled and was correct there. I told you bout them even being previewed on NBA Street Volumn 2. I also told you about what to expect from the NFL's Detroit Lions when they unveiled there new threads and I was correct there too. Take my info seriously, these are not a bunch of hand-me-down rumors. I have membership on these websites and yes I do pay those ridiculous fees. I have too much money, I dont know what to do with half of it. These are the same sites as where I get my info on the naming rights deal regarding the new arena. Here is what I know. Denver The Nugs have basically finalized there design and it is the worst kept secret in sports. It will be Baby Blue and gold with the road threads being Blue. (Home is white as always) It will have thick gold piping down the side that kind of resembles the Clips' alternate threads. The font (script) will have a few minor alterations but will remain mostly the same. Look for these threads to be released in the week before the draft in time for the team to hopefully draft King James. Orlando The Magic's new threads will closely resemble of that of the Phoenix Suns current (Horrific) layout. Look for Blue dryfit threads with large silver and black trim on the sides and "Orlando" plastered on the front in a Block letter format that closely resembles the current font. The home threads will be white with blue and silver trim and "Magic" on the front. No time table has been set for these to be unveiled but sorces tell sportsbusinessdaily.com to look out for them in late July. Toronto is Not getting new uni's. They are however, going to introduce a new half red-half black road alternate jersey with purple piping. Basically, its the same road jersey, just filp-flop the red and purple. But the Baseball's Blue Jays are getting a new logo and threads for the 2004 season. Phoenix will introduce a new orange alternate jersey with purple and silver trim. not much info on this jersey except that it will be like the current threads. Hockey's Phoenix Coyote's will have a new logo and uniforms and might change there name to "Arizona" for when they move int to there new arena next season. Dallas is making a gray alternate jersey that will have "Mavericks" on the fron as opposed to "Dallas" on the other two. You have probably seen a couple of the gray threads sold in stores. The only difference is it will say Mavericks and it will be in the "swingman" format of the current jerseys. San Antonio is also planning a grey alternate jersey. This one will say "San Antonio" on the front. Basically, it is a grey mock-up of the old-school threads they used to wearin the "Iceman" era. Chicago look for the Bulls to release a grey alternate jersey with the old school "Chicago" signature font on the front. Rockets not much info here that is new to you guys. The colors will be crimson and silver and will use dryfit as the fabric for the uni's, as has been said before. Red and silver was picked because it is not being used currently and allows the franchise to preserve a link with its sister team, the Comets in that both franchises will have red and silver in there colors. Only difference between them is that the Comets will still have Blue. The Comets will NOT change there logo and uniforms when they arrive in the new arena because of the history they already have in them. The Rockets new logo is essentially finished. All this talk of the Rocks not making it before the NBA deadline for new uni's to be submitted is "HORSE$HIT" Eiko Ishioka provided the Rocks with 6 design templates to choose from. The one picked did feature a symbol of some sort in the place of the team's name like U of Miami's, Michigan's uni's. The league however wants the team to have an identity on there jersey's being that they will have a fairly large international profile with Yao Ming in one of them. That is why it was declined. You should NOT be worried about them looking tacky or worst than the "PJ's." One league official with NBAPA described all six of the templates as "tough to pick which one to go with cause they are all way cool." This is the main reason for the hold-up. So you guys need not worry. Besides, Eiko is an award winning designer, not some blind homeless person they picked up off the street to design our new threads. Fast-foward to the Future Memphis will introdouce a new logo and uniforms in-time for the 04-05 season and ther first season at there new home, FedexForum. The teams colors will be red, brown, and black. Charlotte or should I say Carolina because thats what they will be. Question is, Carolina What? Cougars, Spiders, and Bobcats are the final 3 left remaining but it realy is a two-horse race between Coogs and Spiders. Cougars is in front because of its link with the basketball's past in Carolina. But, the team wants to be unique and there is a concern because Charlotte already has one big cat in town (Carolina Panthers). Spiders is in the race because of its link to the bugs (Hornets in this case). I dont have much info on colors except that they have been rumored to be dark green, silver and black. The team hopes to unveil its nickname in June if not sooner.
