I am not advocating getting rid of all veterans. They just should not be untouchables. If you get a good offer for them, you trade them.

Besides, these guys, even when on the team, shouldn't be eating up the bulk of PT at a position. Gordon and Tate are both starters when healthy, playing around 30mpg. That's almost 60 of the 84 minutes per games of the wing positions. I am not even talking about Mathews who plays 13 mpg this season. We should be taking good looks at guys like Tari, KJ, and JC.

We aren't even at the stage of learning how the win. We are still trying to figure out who will be in our future core. We aren't going to know unless we play them extensive minutes.

If he develops a three-pointer don't trade Tate as he has a team-friendly contract for a guy who can do a little of everything, pass, rebound, hustle, etc. Even coming off the bench if we move Gordon he's a nice sixth-man piece at least. If not, and others surpass him then that's another story.

    Tari goes nowhere lol.

Is this guy an insider or is he referencing Iko?

When you consider some teams can't trade a 1st or can't match salaries, at least one of those 1st rd picks have to be good.

That's not how I'm reading this situation.

I think, Tate isn't untouchable, we just aren't accepting the market-value offers that are likely being made for him (fillers + 2nd), because the organization thinks he's worth more to this team.

Boban, Gordon, Tate, and Mathews are the only players over 24. Boban doesn't play at all, Mathews gets spot minutes, Tate has been out with injuries, and many fans (not you, or just you) still give the impression that they can't believe we are suppressing our young players by playing vets... which is just a single EG averaging under 30mpg right now.

8 players are first or 2nd-year guys 21 and under in Green, Smith, Sengun, Eason, Garuba, Nix, Washington, Christopher

2 are 22 with 3+ years in KPJ, KJ

Then you have Fernando at 24 with 4 years (and few minutes played)

Insanely young team we have on the court, and it shows, the Rockets are clearly shopping EG, and I hope we find him a home, but if he's moved we literally will have 0 vets in our rotation outside of ... Tate.

Stone sucks at trades so I expect nothing. He waits way too long to make moves, to the point where the players value has fallen off a cliff.

Stone is the epitome of a GM who sells low.

Allen, Wood, Harden, EG and now possibly KJ/Tate.

You stockpile draft picks and talent hoping you get a prospect like Tari. Lol. Um…don’t think we’ll trade him.

yeah but I’m gonna assume those offers came with non-expiring salary. I wish I knew if anyone has offered draft compensation with expirings.

we do need to be turning some superfluous pieces into liquid assets (ie draft capital) to open up minutes for those that remain...

Ego shoulda been gone before the season...

If i can get a return on Tate - i'd do it... he's got midlevel ceiling and we're still tryin to hit another dinger or two...

KJ can go for the right offer... i got no prob keeping him... i think his potential ceiling is higher - but if he's gonna be a malcontent or make demands... thank you, i'd like to cash out now...

KPJ i'm open to moving... i'm hoping an upper level pg is in our future... I'd love KPJ as 6th man... if he's cool - great... if not, cya....

Jabari, JG, Tari, Sengun, TyTy and JC are the guys i'm building around or at least 'wanna see more' before doing anything...

Matthews, Garuba, Bruno... id keep around on the cheap... i dont see really getting anything for 'em...

Boban, Nix, whoever else... if someone wants to give us anything - cool... if someone wants em fer nuthin - thats fine too... lol

I’ve been watching the rockets religiously since the 90’s and I can’t think of any coach who has frustrated me more with his rotations than Silas. I could be convinced that it’s just because this is one of the worst teams in 30 years, but it’s maddening.

Tate was 31.2% from 3 and folks just ridiculed him for it.

Martin is shooting 30.8% from 3 and folks calling for him to start?

    Make it make sense.

You are correct, his drafting is great but he seem scared to trade with a team because he does not want to be fleeced. Gordon should have been traded last year,
