I think all the teams are using that fabric now. It should be some sort of Adidas technology.

I'm glad they changed it. The small font, and number was the thing that bugged me about the jerseys when they revealed them.

As many others have said, and updated throwback would be the route I would like to see them go.

haha. I didn't make that jersey & I see there are still some of the jersey I have on eBay, but priced a little higher now. & yes it is a sewing machine. I actually do sew a lot of unlicensed Rockets apparel for myself, so that's why it's in my room. I'm in the process of changing my TMac retro jerseys to an Olajuwon and a Rudy T. My Murphy San Diego jersey hanging in my room is one I sewed using a green tank top (originals go for around $400). I'll have to make a thread sometime with some of the stuff I've made.
So yes, I could make you a "MyfriendfromARGGEntina" jersey, although sewing letters would take a great deal more time than screen printing.
Here's a blank one you could order to customize

I loved it when the Rockets used the throwback on the bottom far left as their alternate. I think it was the 04 or 05 season. I wish they still used those.

looks like the material is mesh now or similar, makes the red look more dull...i wish the color popped more......i dont understand who's designing them or what's the reasoning here...they had a good concept when they were sketched out and ruined it.

The new number font looks okay, but it just doesn't fit with the rest of the lettering. If they are going to change the number font, please change the "Rockets" lettering to fit better.

That would be legibility, not aesthetics.

The new jersey styles are now available for pre-order here
    http://store.nba.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4416471&cp=1421542.2806554

$250-$280!!!! eek! it's for that new fabric technology. not worth it.

It's kind of cool to type in the numbers 0-9 to see what they look like on the jerseys. All of the other jerseys at the store still have the old Rockets number font even though some say new.

Precisely. The 30% less weight is very important for fans who are jumping off their couches at home and out of their seats in the Toyota Center in exciting moments and after bad calls. This is going to revolutionize the fan experience as we know it.
