i think its the lighting... but it does look like the arches were shortened because the peak used to reach their waists, now it comes up well short and PP's jersey doesnt look tight(er), so i doubt it's the size.
I wish we would make the alternate jersey the primary road jersey, get a white one that matches for home games, and add pin stripes as well! Then just get creative for a new alternate!

No, but I got it on eBay about a month ago... price & shipping came out to under $13. I guess you get what you pay for. haha. The material is right & it's got legit adidas & NBA tags.. could be something from China or a factory mixup/reject? and I didn't notice it until like a week of it hanging on my wall when I was like wait a minute.. I'm ticked because it saying Houston is what made the alternate jersey so awesome. I guess mine is special.
it looks like a combination of the current and alternate rolled into one... weird I saw on that had the current jersey scheme with the smiley rocket font from the Francis years at Marshalls a few years back, very odd combo.... btw u collecting jerseys? I have a serious Rockets apparel purchasing/collecting addiction, I probably have 120-30 pieces after my purchases yesterday. haha. So if you are serious about getting rid of your jerseys, I would gladly take them off your hands. Back to thread topic, the pic Rocketsblaze posted definitely shows some changes to the Rockets swoopy silverly trim. The silver looks a bit more dark like jmad21 pointed out earlier & doesn't go down as far as RV6 said. I didn't really notice either until this pic. These changes aren't big enough to increase jersey sales. Rockets fans who already own Yao jerseys are not going to go purchase a new one because of the trim or number font or at least I won't. The jersey changes aren't really even Rockets.com news story worth IMO. Heck, we're even having a hard time figuring out what the changes are without pulling up old pictures haha. Rockets just made some small changes to make the current jerseys more aesthetically pleasing. The End.
They really did a merge job on that Scola jersey. The team name isnt right, the font isnt slanted, the number isnt yellow. Though I think the white number looks better. Regardless of the differences, I think the alternate has more POTENTIAL than they put into it. I think that bigger WHITE number would go better on the ALTERNATE than the regular jersey.
This just might be released late enough to not be in 2k11 and bug the absolute crap out of me all season long...
It also looks like we might have lost the shinny look too! Look at the pic with all his Kentucky teammates and it looks like its more of a dull fabric and not the dazzle stuff. Also the trim around the neck has more of a basic "V" look when the old one kinda had a more stylized "V"! Now if they would have only fixed the cut, and we would have been golden.
Those are the ugliest Rockets jerseys ever. They always reminded me of kindergarten art project. A Rocket With teeth how lame. And the Pinstripes and colors everything is just wrong.
They Just need to go back to and stick with the red and gold. Maybe some Black alternates. Yeah some black, gold, and red alternates. Now that would be styling.
