Your constant intentional misspelling of TONEY DOUGLAS is just childish. Anyway, Daniel Gibson wouldn't be a bad option off the bench. Just don't give him any ball-handling responsibilities.
i was actually reading about gibson earlier and was looking at his numbers and his 3's potential in our lineup and the fact he was expiring and started thinkin this is the type of player morey would have interest in.. another cap flexible expiring who fits the team with his 3ball who will likely come cheap... i was actually planning on making up a fantasy trade in the trades thread and see how people thought about it... funny i get on clutchfans and theres an article about such player being targetting by morey... anyways... i like it, but what would it take... it could help us make a playoff push this year and expire at the end of the year... http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ahloj4c we take gibson and a 2nd and send them aldrich... aldrich is a lesser expiring but they dont lose an expiring so they keep max room this off-season and also morris a young sf/pf prospect for them to develop... at the cost of a expiring(a bit higher than gained) and a 2nd... i would do this... it adds minutes to our 4 spot, adds another 3pt shooter that we need and adds more flexability and capspace...
I love this move...bring him back home Gibson and Speights for Aldrich, Patterson, Douglas and Motiejunas
I don't think he'd bring anything extra than TD is bring us....In fact our 2 guys Lin and TD are putting up 20 pts a night for us, so that means we're getting 46 points from our back court. Lin isn't playing that well. I don't see the big picture of this deal, nor the small picture. Is he good at D? I don't know I don't have a bunch of knowledge on him since his early days. I do like him as a player though. I just don't see the point really unless Morey knows something I don't know. Whatever the org. thinks I guess! Interesting info. not SPLASH level, but shows we are trying to make moves minor, or a bit bigger in picture if this were a trade after/before another trade maybe...who knows?
Fine with him as a backup. Not sure he is much of an upgrade over Douglas though. Morris + Douglas for Boobie and Cassapi*? Open up a little cap room for next year.
Would it though, by how much? TD is being paid what like 450,000 by us, and the Knicks pay the rest & Morris is showing promise as a good bench player that would be way too high IMO to give up for Gibson. I agree it isn't an upgrade really over TD so why do it, unless another trade was going to happen...Just MO
