Our bench has been solid but we've also been blessed with some good luck in terms of injuries (go figure). If one of our PG's goes down we don't have a second capable PG on the roster or anybody that could really slide over for any spot minutes. This is something that you could get away with when you had McGrady in the lineup (thus reducing the ineffectiveness of Rafer playing 40 MPG for 3.5 seasons) but definitely not something that's an option right now. He can play the point, he's an expiring contract and he has value as a player. Just saying that there are worse options in the world than this idea....
Nate Robinson? What a big star houston will have!!!! Morey will be "famous" as Isah Tomas when he does this trade...
kindly explain the "thinking bigger". what, we're throwing away bad, unexpiring contracts by trading for a undersized player? can we just face the frigg'n facts? we're never going to be contenders in this league without paying luxury tax. i'd rather keep what we have, cross my fingers, and pray to God that he's going to deliver the Rockets a TALLER PLAYER FOR ONCE.
Nate could dunk on Yao in practice, thus saving Yao of the embarassment of getting dunked on in games.
