No media ever love us. Even if we get like 5 championships in a row and the cavs still get to the playoffs but won't win anything, they still get more airtime than us just because they think Lebron is the best basketball player ever.
This is what I'm afraid of...but gosh, I go to school out of state, and I don't know if I can do without the Rockets for an entire season.
Lets try not to worry about nationally televised regular season games and just make the playoffs. We can get plenty of nationally televised playoff games cause they'll have to show us. TNT 40 games in 40 nights, can't wait!!!
I do belive it will depend on how we will perform. If Tracy comes back strong and we are doing really well (22 game winning streak?) than I do belive they will chane it and we will see our team on TNT or ESPN.
It just means that we have to wait until the playoffs to see the rockets on national TV. It wasn't like Yao and Artest were carrying the team the whole time. And we did add a couple replacements in Andersen and Ariza. We may be worse, but not that worse. National TV just doesn't like Houston. They didn't give much last year, either.
horrible news especially for people that dont live in usa........... well i hope the chinese channel at sopcast still will show the games even without yao for the year.
Exactly. Games get swapped every year and even if we don't end up making the playoffs I think we'll be in the mix in the final couple of weeks. We'll probably get a couple of national games.
What? You mean the star power of Aaron Brooks, Luis Scola and Shane Battier isn't enough to get us on national tv? wtf?
Why would anyone want to watch a scrappy young team play their hearts out and potentially beat the lazy, ridiculously talented championship team with their new insane mascot? Who in the world would want to see a rehash of an intense seven game playoff series where the underdog team played every possession like its last and pushed a full roster of stars to the brink? Why would anyone want to see tough play and actual hustle on defense, where our best known active player can't really do much other than do one of the best defensive jobs imaginable on Kobe? I mean, you would have to be crazy to think there would be any sort of storyline they could attach to that series, much less assume there would be any ratings out of that.
Look at this way National media don't think Rockets will give Kobe/ James chance to score 81 points to be shown on TV.
