Wow, that is complete bs. You would think a game like Rockets vs Lakers would be televised since we pretty much swapped Ron and Ariza and we took them to 7 games in the playoffs.
so they get rockets a grand total of 00000 games and the superstar young guns team of durant-westbrook-harden-green a grand total of 1 team??? wow utah has 13 games clippers have their los-angeles based minimum grant of 8 games new orleans has 8 games oh well we'll get to see kevin durant during his thing on that 1.32 minutes of highlight tape when he tears up the lakers for 50 points ...damn
the scheduale is official for ESPN they have games every wednesday nd friday and they dont decide all of the games at once cuz it might be a bad game/matchup. once the season starts then u will see the rox on national tv. c'mon they gave okc national tv time last season and so did the kings for crying out loud
Why is everyone up in arms about us not having any national tv games. This just mean we can enjoy Matt Bullard's and Clyde Drexler's insights all season long...
Because they want all the national tv games to belong to Lebron James. Lebron got all the spotlight himself than Kobe, Yao, and Dwade together.
look at the brightside for those of us with League Pass we can watch all the Rockets games online now, have them archived for 2 days since none of them will be on national tv!
I'd rather listen to Bill and Bull/Clyde believe it or not. It's just disappointing that after last playoff's performance against the Lakers, people still don't think we can be competitive.
Except the NBAtv games But all the rest should be good to go, so this is definitely the silver lining!
The team definitely doesn't deserve to be snubbed like this, but I think networks are just afraid of the unknown. The current players could hold the fort down for an eventual return by Tracy and Yao, or despite their best efforts, they could be lotto bound. So maybe their theme for this season then should be "Earn It" Cause they are certainly going to have to earn every victory, earn a playoff spot, earn respect from the media and the league and yes, earn some nationally televised games. Nothing will be handed to them, there will be no easy games, no backing into victories or the playoffs. They will have to fight for ever loose ball, every rebound, every shot...fight to win every quarter and to win every game. They do that, then the national media, the band wagoners that they are, will give them some love.
tell you the truth i still watch local even when its a national game. I cant stand the announcers for national games. They all hate the rockets except for jon barry and jvg..and i like how the nba allows local guys to be biased and homers...unlike football.....i wish local could show playoff games past the first round so i dont have to hear them suck kobe's &%lls all the time and talk about how great the lakers are...booo
Unfortunately we are going to stink out loud this coming season. The lack of T.V. time is no surprise.
