Yep. That would be the goal. The only core player I'd be willing to deal is JG. Package him with a bunch of expiring contracts and picks to make it work.

If you can, you do it. If you can't, you can't.

The championship window is open with KD. No promises they get back to this level ever again. By the time KD retires, the young core will be ready to take the reigns with some legit playoff experience under their belts.

Bobby Marks: “The Houston Rockets make the most sense. Houston has all of Phoenix's draft picks. If Phoenix wants a soft rebuild, that’s where you’d start.”

Windhorst: The Rockets, the message they’ve sent out is they love their young team. They do not want to do something like that now. We’ll see in the summer after the playoffs.”

Windhorst: Suns communicated to the Heat they want picks, pick swaps, young players for Durant.

Praying to the BB gods (the ones that Ime said made us lose against the Nets) that Stone doesn’t do something stupid or desperate

This indicates the Suns aren’t blowing it up. They wouldn’t give up their 2026 first to save 10M next year if they planned on starting a rebuild.

Forget KD. Just sit back and watch their draft picks given to us roll in.

If we can get Durant for one first round pick I would pull the trigger. Otherwise just sit tight and let our players develop for another season. Anything we give up now will hurt us during the offseason when we can really make moves at Ant/Booker who are 8-10 years younger than Durant.

I was thinking more of a Jock Landale trade here.

There's no way they actually gave up their pick next year for this? INSANE

It still doesn't make sense. They are headed in the wrong direction and gave up their pick next year thats insane. Its likely a mid to low teen first round pick with upside for MORE if this craters

Also no way they trade Durant or Book, anytime soon if they’re treating next years pick like that.

What are the protections? edit: looks like a pick that they’ve already traded as a swap before. Very complicated pick lol

Hilarious cause it looks like they still have a ways to go to get under even next year without much hope to improve
