Posters keep trying to tell me Bari is a good shooter, but in reality, he's not. Lou Dort shot 40% from 3. Brooks shot 40% from 3. Bari was 35% and 42 overall which i brought up predraft. Good shooters, especially ones who job is to take and make open shots don't shoot 35%. Eason shot 36% from 3 last year and 34% this year, but i don't hear anyone saying he's a good shooter
Jalen got her from rent a center. She was the work from the 2000s, now she into the young bulls after getting worked
NBA voters had him at 16 for all-NBA teams, so yes, you're right, he was not ranked top 15. He was ranked top 16 in the entire NBA.
Bari really turned a corner towards end of last season. After this slow start he became a reliable shooter. I dunno how you didn't see that. Either way he's still a better shooter than Jalen Green. Which is why our shooting got upgraded. Bari and KD are better than Green and Brooks at shooting.
KD is a upgrade over anyone, but Bari shooting numbers are the same as Green, less than Brooks. We both know Green had to create his shots vs being created for like Bari. Bari so far has been a non shooting shooter, that need to change.
Like I said you can look at his numbers he improved every month. He started at 28%. Finished march April and may as a 37% shooter on 124 shots. Very respectable. Also he was one of the youngest on the team so you expected some adjustment. At the end of the season. Jalen got worse as season went on. And is just random. I'd take the guy showing improvement over the randomness
Jalen finished strongly his 2nd and 3rd years and it meant absolutely nothing. Jabari should get the same harsh scrutiny this year that Jalen got last season. No more excuses.
Just the eyeball test, not knowing where he was drafted, does Jabari look like the #3 player in a draft? My problem with Bari is he doesn't have basketball instincts. He looks like a guy who trained growing up vs hooping. Nothing he does looks natural on the court. Teams will ball watch Sengun at the top of the key and he doesn't back door. He just stands there. As a shooter, his shooting numbers are Jalen Green ish. He's also an average athlete even at his height. Alpi probably has more dunks than Bari
He actually didn't play well, which is why his time on the floor was limited. He was a clueless, unaware turnover machine and on defense he got torched because he could barely contest any of the Warriors perimeter players. Indeed he did shoot well.
For sure yet Green still has enough potential for Phoenix or another team to at least make it a little interesting in the longer run.
