They still didn't sniff the playoffs this year.

And Wemby and Durant's health are iffy most of the time.

If Durant were 29 years old and only making 33 - 37 mil a year I would make that trade so fast. But he's not. I think you guys are missing large pieces of context.

KD will be 37 in Sept. The only way this trade works is giving them Jalen and Landale and then you start having to give up depth to make the salary match. so that means Jabari or Tari AND Cam or Reed. Unless you give up our defensive enforcer Dillion Brooks or our team leader fvv. making this trade will seriously **** with this team. then they are gonna want picks and then KD in a year will want an extension and he is gone if we dont give it to him. he may be gon anway cuz he'll be 38 and his body holding up is not a guarantee.

So its far from the same thing. The smartest thing to do is stay where we are and wait to see what happens with GIannis. We are ahead of schedule there is no need to panic buy now. KD does not give us a ring and will only be a one year rental more than likely.

Leave KD's old ass in Phoenix.

Do we really want to be the team that extends him? What good has he done since leaving the Warriors? Both the Nets and Suns are in shambles. Don't add the Rockets to the list!

I agree, I think there is a tier of teams, OKC is one, Nuggets are top of the 2nd tier because of Jokic...

Only other team I worry about is Dallas.

On paper they might challenge OKC, deep, defensively sound, go to scorers, their only thing is they are relying on two very unreliable players in Kyrie and AD.

I also think we will get better. Amen I truly believe will be a star player, he's going to get better, his leap from year 1 to 2 is insane, his defense is actually insane, and watching him trying to will the Rockets to a game 7 win was really all I needed to see.

Sengun is...odd, he's almost there, just feels like if he can't outpower a guy down low he doesn't know what to do. Arenas said something that was profound about him today, he said he tries too hard to be Jokic and needs to focus on being Sengun. That means maybe not always try to post up bigger/stronger guys, take them off the dribble, as he can do. Obviously, he can't take Draymond off the dribble, Dray is an all-time defender, but for other guys he probably should try that more, foul bait more, I still believe in Sengun.

To me right now the Core is Amen and Sengun and ideally we want to add a go to scorer on their timeline to pair with them.

We've all lost faith that will be Jalen...but hey, maybe it's Reed lol, I hope he gets more of a chance this upcoming season.

yeah find a way to get things done, as in getting rigged to the top of every draft.

    I'm glad it's not us.

JG & #10 would have been too much.

To be fair, the spurs have been irrelevant for a very long time, 10+ years.

As several others have alluded to, a player a pick and filler. Otherwise go pound sand.

The Rockets have to add Cam as a sweetener because Jalen’s trade value is just trash right now. I actually thought he had some perceived positive value, but a lot of teams see what we’ve seen for 4 years now.

I doubt that we're trading Jalen Green to Phoenix (I really don't think he was ever part of the offer) and still think DB is the main piece going to Phoenix.

I think Phoenix is trying to save face and appease their fan base by putting out that Cam Whitmore is now part of the package (I think Cam was always part of the package).

I’ve said it over and over. Banchero was fool’s gold. Jabari will end up the better player, if our coach can figure out how to use him effectively.

From that Michael Grange (reliable) report:

This is why you have to take all of those Gambadoro "offer reports" with a huge grain of salt.

Wouldn't it have to be Jalen, Cam, Jock, and Holiday to work money wise?

Hell no to Markenan. If we are dealing with Utah. John Collins should be the target and will cost way less. He would be affordable as a backup if Bari’s shot isn’t falling. Great bench piece. If you are hell bent on moving Jalen then Utah would be more than willing to move Sexton for him. You could probably get both for Jalen and Landale, filler if needed. They would immediately dump Landale for more cap room. They know what Sexton is, nobody is for sure on what Jalen is or you could give Dillon and an ok pick just for Collins and move Jabari to small forward and start Collins. You would still have tons of picks Jalen, Tari, Cam to make a splash.

People on here are going to learn the hard way that progress isn’t linear. Teams around us will moves to improve while we embrace continuity. We have a chance to acquire a talent like Kevin Durant, but will fumble it because we don’t want to include 6’10 Ariza.

These same people will complain that the Spurs got another star for nothing, and will be in game threads complaining when Fred/Jalen take turns sh*tting the bed in crunch time.

    Unserious organization and fanbase.
