Where are you getting this idea of moving FVV? Everything I've seen has no mention of him at all, it's all Jabari, Jalen, Brooks and then picks and pieces. The word is the complete opposite, that they're only trading for Durant if we're keeping FVV.
I think ideally by the end of the season, Amen is starting PG and Reed sees major minutes as a combo guard.. I would tell FVV he may be starting initially but we're limiting his minutes to save him... I think the future is Reed next to Amen with Reed's shooting playing off dribble penetration from Amen. You also want Amen on elite scoring wings most of the time so that leaves Reed against smaller 1s. Ideally reed is seeing a consistent 20+ minutes off the bench to see what he can do with regular time running with the big boys.
If Jabari is a bigger PJ Tucker I think he's worth that pick to have for the next decade plus. Just shoot close to 40% and play elite defense on 3, 4, and 5s....
It’s the same story over and over. Suns keep asking for the same players and picks and all the teams keep saying no. But somehow “X” team is close to the finish line.
Two weeks ago: The Rockets are close if they send Jabari Last week: The Spurs are close if they send the number 2 pick This week: The Heat are close if they send their best young player. Tomorrow: the Thunder are close if they send Shai. Then: The Dodgers are close if they send Shohei. The Avengers are close if they send the Hulk. Eventually: Phoenix will stay firm. Durant will hold out. The Rockets will toss in some 2nd round picks to save face for Suns, and Durant will join just before the season starts.
If it can get done for Jalen, Tari, and the 10th pick, I’m doing that. I love Tari but he can be replaced. And frankly Jabari staying will make up for his loss. Also it’s no secret Tari’s leg has been an issue since college. Sorry, but I’m pulling the trigger on that.
I think in the end, I would probably also include Tari in the deal, especially because he's going to be expensive next year. But I would want to have the Suns give up the 29th pick to balance things out.
I didnt actually think it was true, but now Im starting to think Jalen may actually have negative trade value. I can see why the suns wouldn't want him, but not being able to find a third team to take him on is damning. The Hornets tried to trade Mark Williams for Kenecht. I would think Phoenix would like Williams and the Hornets would want to add an explosive 23 yr old guard with potential to Lamelo and Miller...
Tari is one of our most impactful players. No he isnt easily replaceable. I let Bari go before Tari but that doesnt matter because neither one of them are available for Durant.
I hope Stone won't panic. Suns should be the team that would panic, not the Rockets. But according to @Nook Stone is a very cautious/hesitant kind of guy. So it's probably more likely that he misses out a trade then jumping into a trade too rashly.
That article is from ClutchPoints, not exactly a beacon of reliability or journalism. They are known for just regurgitating and actually stealing content without giving credit. That being said, he may be viewed as negative with how much he is getting paid. Which is why he is on the table at all. If he was making 5m/yr, he wouldnt be in talks.
Tari STILLL has a better O-DPM D-DPM DPM ORAPM DRAPM RAPM LEBRONWAR LEBRON O-LEBRON D-LEBRON OBPM DBPM BPM VORP OWS DWS WS WS/48 than Jabari in 300 less minutes played. but sure buddy. -Also, if you need me to explain what any of these acronyms mean let me know so I can educate you.
