Castle had a big usage rate; top 60 in the nba and maybe even more with the spurs being out of the play in picture with their injuries:

    https://3stepsbasket.com/player/stephon-javonte-castle/advanced

Take our game vs the spurs after the break; here is playing the most minutes in a game when in a blowout, he played 30 min

They have Wemby. I'm not too fond of the rest of their roster other than Harper, but dammit Wemby just makes everything else so much easier.

I like the picks after 2025 the Rockets have better than what the Spurs have left.

KD was reported as not feeling fulfilled or really having joy winning a championship. He likes to hoop, get paid and wants to go out his way.

Miami makes sense if you think about a player that doesn't really care that much about winning a championship and just wants to enjoy his career.

Minnesota would be top of his list if all he wanted was a ring. He wants comfortable weather, money and enjoy playing.

That's why it's highly unlikely we win a championship with Durant. But in the meantime we sacrifice long term assets that could have resulted in a younger star on a better contact and long term contention.

I think they're all not that great but he's bad or not especially good at all of them! Traditional , advanced, whatever he isn't good! No need to cherry pick.

Let's face facts the guy has been a role player at best- a real bust given his draft projection - there is zero case to be made that he's anything special based on stats (or actually watching him! )

He is not a switchable 7 footer - he can't guard perimeter players. Read sam vecenies admission of error in his draft eval - he ain't that guy

its funny how you make all these proclamations of what the Suns want and what the rockets want to do without any more information than anybody else. It's just your high opinion of yourself that you think that your right and others are wrong. in reality, all you ever do is desecrate our players and whine about not bringing back Harden.

lol that Castle is better than Jalen:

Trading for a guy who doesn’t really care about winning, is 37, injury prone and so fickle he argues online with kids, I’m so over the idea of him. HARD PASS!

Miami has surprised before with trades because, well, who doesn't want to play in Miami? So stars make it happen.

But Miami looks like it has less than jack s*** (or is it "jacks***", one word?) that it would trade.
And they have to add up enough salary to offset KD.

So the same thing u do?

this the same dude sh*tting on Ime 24/7 talking about desecrating

    gimme a break…

this gotta be like the 3rd or 4th time this week u randomly mentioned James Harden, ain’t nobody even talking about him right now

also, I said that Castle has more potential than Jalen, not that rookie Castle is currently better than 4th year Jalen so all that comparing current stats means absolutely nothing to me

Right Jabari is gonna be a great 3 and D role player. Not everyone can get one of those in the draft. They are there sometimes but can you get them? No you cant always. Look at the Suns they can really use a Jabari but cant get just one. He is gonna get better too. These guys live in some sort of fantasy world. one that led the suns into being the suns. you overachieved last year is this really the time to sacrifice all we put together?

just curious how many of the current Rockets you think are good enough for us to compete in the next two years? i havent mentioned Harden but once and it was just to say i liked that era of the Rockets. i point out Ime's weaknesses, but have said repeatedly he should get another chance with a more balanced roster to prove he can be a decent offensive coach. Now I have desecrated FVV who I think is one of the worst stating pgs in the league.

Asked AI for the Rockets average age based on the top 10 players in total minutes played. Also asked to compare that to other playoff teams the past ten plus years.

We have a ton of upside and are an outlier for core age and where we are now.

Youngest NBA Playoff Teams (Past Decade)
Here are some of the youngest teams to make the playoffs in the last 10+ years, based on minutes-weighted average age:

The 2024–25 Rockets are among the youngest playoff teams of the decade, and the youngest this season. Only the 2024–25 Thunder and 2010 Thunder had comparable youth and deeper runs.

Half of bari's upside? What is his upside? He's a role player - a stretch 4 who can't guard down, can't dribble or pass, and is just ok at shooting

This isn't the 1990s, this player archetype is simply not that useful

Spurs have one of the best FO in NBA, have had so for decades.

And ALL of the assets they have, they've decided KD isn't worth it...tells you all you need to know.

People willing to trade multiple sub 23 year old players and #10 draft picks for a rental that could retire the moment he has a serious enough injury really need to sit back and think about if that's really the best move this team can be making right now.

Yep, so do most guys Bari's height. It's actually the outlier that a guy Bari's height will have good handles. Bari is young enough to STILL be a rookie, if he gets his mid range shooting down, he's going to score a lot more.

He's also one of the prospects that it sounds like teams are always wanting from us and I remember out of all the players the Warriors complimented, nearly every press conference they were glazing Bari.

This isn’t the early 2000’s. They lucked into wemby. Had been losing talent due to pops old school coaching style and had flubbed most of their picks.

one dude wanted to show his Peter to anyone who would look. Sochan was miscast at point guard and is not Kawai. Speaking of - he couldn’t wait to get out.
