Harden and Durant would get knocked out in the first round. They should both join LeBron in LA after requesting a buyout lol
Meh, we are on a good trajectory this year with a likelihood to make the playoffs. Considering that Durant/Harden aren't in their prime anymore and are likely only to get us to the 1st round, I really don't see the purpose of trading for that.
How would this even work? Like FVV and a young guy or two and picks for Durant and then expirings and a meh pick for Harden?
In theory, the Rockets could look to unload guys like Jock Landale, Tate, Jeff Green, along with one of their bad contracts like Jalen or Brooks to make the money work, then basically all of the Suns future picks. Now if the Suns would go for it.... who knows? My guess would be no.

You'd have to include Green & Sengun in order to get off their contracts. That's the main problem, it's time to tear it down.

I don't know about that. I feel like we're going to finish the next few seasons with: 6th seed 3rd seed 1st seed or close 1st seed or close 1st seed or close It would be nice to have someone with elite playoff/championship experience come in and lift us up to higher seeding for those first two years and be a role model in the playoffs. Now I wouldn't pay a ton for it. But I would consider our least valuable prospect, one good first round pick and FVV or Brooks ( depends on the position this acquisition plays). I think that's worth 1-2 early shots at a title. I think Tatum and Brown over in Boston benefited a ton from going deep into the playoffs early in their careers. Would really boost the core's development imo.
I have no interest in Harden. Durant, though, if our team looks good and for the right price would be tempting. I think he’s got a solid 4 yrs left of high level play.
Trading for either would be Shai for George 2.0. No thanks. Durant is on like his 17th season? If he doesn't get injured in the next 2 years, he will very likely have a steep drop-off.
I feel like Durant's too expensive. Beard coming back though if he wasn't costing much more than say FVV and Cam? Yeah ****ing do it. We know Harden would unlock Jalen like he did Maxey, he'd throw the best lobs to both Jalen and Amen, pick and roll with Sengun would be near unguardable. Obviously we'd be sacrificing our identity as a D-first squad, but the offense could more than make up for it.
Harden would have Sengun feasting like it’s Thanksgiving would help Jalen Green as well bring Beard back home
