Looks like my stock portfolio a couple of times in the last few decades. I'm really hoping another team makes that move. Age, injuries and contract cost are three powerful risk factors that scream... "Don't do it Stone!"
There are reports the 76ers are shopping PG and #3 to get off his contract. Obviously KD is the better player but if both players are healthy, PG is slightly younger.
Done, Jalen Green and #10 and they've got a deal. Although that was in jest, I just saw his contract and retract my attempt at humor.
Thanks great post. Here's his salary per AI, we'd be starting at top part and going up. Yeah, I'm good with passing
I do think something the Suns should consider: Take our crap sandwich of Jalen, Cam, Landale, and #10, and the pick swap. Then trade Booker for a couple young players and draft assets. They can put together a decent young lineup pretty quickly. Let's say Booker for: Coby White Vucevic Huerter 2026 #1 (top 4 protected) 2028 #1 (top 4 protected) Bulls gamble on backcourt of Giddey/Booker/Ayo Suns then look like: Coby White Jalen Green Cam Whitmore #10 pick Vucevic #6 man Brad Beal At least they would be 3 steps ahead in rebuilding with that. Might not be any worse... I'd like that if I'm Phoenix...
I know nobody likes it but FVV+Londale+10 for KD and Jalen for Harden solves all the PG problems that are holding back sending out FVV.
Doesn't matter if you give up filler and do it for Edgecome... he would be awesome under Ime... Like a healthy guard version of Tari Eason with better 3pt shooting. Just have to be willing to pay the tax... Would be curious what the cost to move from 10 to 3 to get Edgecombe... worth an extra pick and cam to me...that's if they believe he's an Ime type guy at the 2...
The longer this goes no one knows but I think it confirms that KD is worth far less on the trade market like we thought and I think Minny and SA are out and Heat were never real. I think like Windy we are the only real option left unless dumb ass Ishbia just forces something out of spite. I think the value is lowering not increasing on trade assets for KD as teams leave the equation. He's a rental no matter what the Suns say.
sometimes I laugh at the ridiculous proposals other fanbases give about our team (like Suns fans) and then I see this and I understand it LOL
I love James Harden, but I hope he never plays for the Rockets again. He just does not show up when he is needed. Just keep Jalen if you want your star to let you down in the big playoff games.
I know it’s unrealistic, but PG is an extreme albatross. If we took on his contract we would be dead for the next 3 years. The trade was tongue in cheek.
KD is a better culture guy and better player than PG. And that says a lot. No thanks to Podcast George.
We had no intention of giving anything up for Fox and got him for pennies and we have no intention of giving up anything for Durant and he wants us, so we’ll probably get him for pennies as well. And the commish rigged the lottery for us as well. Call it the Wemby effect.
Jalen & 10, take it or leave it. I doubt Jabari is in the offer. “Teams such as Houston and San Antonio simply see little need to make “asset-rich offers” for Kevin Durant when: A) they know the Suns face self-imposed pressure to try to assemble a deal that delivers even half as much as they gave up to acquire KD 2023. B) both teams have long-held reservations about bidding aggressively for a player who will be 37 in September … and when their respective cores are so much younger.” “The Timberwolves are said to be reluctant to go ahead with a trade unless they know Durant would embrace it.”
Something like this works. PHX gets 3 guys who could start for them right now, one of their own picks back, plus some other first rounders that at least save face. BKN would rather have Claxton than Jalen I believe, but they get to turn 2 bad picks into 1 good one and their own 2027 back.
