It's nice that Jalen Green seemed immune to major injuries. THAT was nice. I just don't see the leap forward that the team needed from Green. Not when it mattered most. He always seemed to need a nudge, like snapping your fingers under his nose: Hey, hey. Wake up! Think about your picnic later. Need you to concentrate.
It’s pretty much how it has to be done with Jalen involved in the trade. We agree in principle to the trade and then make the pick on Phoenix’s behalf. The trade is then consummated on July 1st. It is done all the time. Nobody would trade with Phoenix again if they did us wrong on an agreed upon deal.
FVV, Jock, Whitmore 25 10th and 27 FRP Seems like a fair deal. Gives them there draft capital back, If you had to throw in Jabari just to get it done maybe but still. Rockets need to keep Green. I think Durant is going to space the floor here at PF This give more opportunity to green, because Durant will be double teamed.
I understand people are down on Jalen because of his playoff performance but Vassell is NOT better than him. SMH[/QUOTE] For me it’s hard to swallow, but I think if you look at the numbers Vassell is a better player. Vassell is a much more efficient shooter from mid and long range. Vassell is a better defender. Turns the ball over less. Per 36 min Vassell only score 3 point less than Jalen on much better efficiency. True shooting is much better. He’s an inch taller and only a year older. not arguing about potential. I buy that Jalen has more potential, but he’s not a better player right now IMO. Vassell is also on a much cheaper contract.
Well what price do you think we'd need to trade for KD? And do you think KD is the piece that puts us over the top?
Sometimes people cannot live up to the high standard that their draft position infers. It doesn’t mean that the player is useless and can’t be a positive on a championship team or that he will forever be the same player as he was at 22 years old. I may be wrong, but I believe the Rockets highly value Jalen because of both his potential and work ethic. I will be very surprised if he is traded for Durant.
Mavs get one pick for Luka. I’m not giving up more than one pick and I don’t even want to do that but will.
I agree in general but man Bari would learn so much from KD, the two had even trained together, so now he'd get to do more of that with him and see him every day and pick his brain and with the length on the floor with him and KD it would be some fun lineups. That's why I feel Jalen is the move but I have a feeling it's not even Jalen, I think the offer is lower than that lol and this is why the Suns have been flailing around. I bet its centered around Brooks and #10. I know the thought is that it's Jalen and #10 on the table but if that's true, I feel like the Suns would have taken it and already would be calling other teams to take on Jalen so that they can get their center. I think the Rockets see KD as a luxury and giving up #10 for a veteran was always on the table, replacing Brooks with KD had to have always been the plan when it came to acquiring him.
He is immune to injuries because he shies away from tough situations and contact....he needs to go. DD
[Charania] While KD has shown that he wants to go to the Spurs, they aren’t as interested in him as Minnesota and Houston. They want to save their valuable assets to trade for a star more on their timeline
Jalen has value, just not to them. He needs to go to a team like New Orleans who isn't trying to win and can live with the bipolar nature of his game.
They were drafted the same year by the same team. KD at #2 and Uncle Jeff at #5. I felt bad for Jeff Green because here he was, the #5 pick in the draft!, and nobody in Seattle cared about him in the slightest. May as well have been a 2nd round scrub. The media was 100% KD all the time. But the media ended up being right.
