Our J.R. Is much more productive. Do not want. We need much more stable minds. Cue DH joke

I think at this point, all reporters just assume that Rockets are going after everyone.

i'd pass on JR, though there's no way we're even in the conversation to sign him.

besides the fact that j.r. is literally the least likely player in the NBA to take a paycut, im not even sure i want him (or his shot selection, attitude, or playing style on my team)

i mean, did y'all see him in the playoffs? big whoop he won a media award for best 6th man (it shouldnt have gone to him, but w/e)...he'll get a bigger offer elsewhere and take it. end of discussion.

You guys are crazy. JR is a cancer.

This is probably his agent tried to leak out stuff to raise their bargain weight.

No, we need smart players who can shoot and play with an edge like Cisco, not the crazy type fake thugs like JR.

The Rockets have expressed interest in Nuggets forward Corey Brewer whether they can get Howard or not. They are interested in Knicks guard J.R. Smith if they don’t get Howard and have cap room. There is also interest in bringing back forward Carlos Delfino.

That would be awkward considering that Rusty Hardin sits court side most nights and sued the hell outta JR Smith for non-payment after his DWI defense while with the Nuggets...

Thank you for clearing this up.

Although, in theory, our interest in J.R. Smith would probably make more sense with D12 on board given the likelihood of teams doubling and J.R.'s reputation as a three point bomber.

Either way, I'd prefer not to go down this road. He's an extremely talented offensive player that can literally do it all, but he's horrendous defensively and will be extremely expensive. Redick got 4 years, $27M. He's worth at least that.

No... please God no. Either way, I will be pissed if the Rockets sign this chump chucker. He had an interesting run last year with having the ultimate green light with the pickup game nightmare team in NY, but the playoffs showed pretty quick that he's really just an irrational confidence guy in the end, and irrational confidence guys have their place on some teams, but they always come with their risks. I think you can do better Morey.

My theory is the Rockets want to send Lin to NY and JR to a third team, and third team's asset to the Rockets.

SOME NIGHTS is the operative words. He was a huge reason why the Knicks didn't move further in the playoffs b/c he just started bricking everything...

Plus, he's looking to get paid. Didn't he make statements about being underpaid last season?

    Don't want.

JR is a streaky volume shooter who hogs the ball badly. Sometimes his shots go in and he can score a ton, but other times he can't. And when his shots don't go through, it absolutely kills the team's offense and rhythm. He doesn't play defense, and gets hungover for the playoffs.

Oh, and he has a pretty bad attitude too.

Imagine the locker room tension when Lin and JR is in the same locker...Lin will not pass the ball to JR which would cause some drama I bet

God, no. Unless it's a one year deal with his pay determined by his TS%.
